Kelly Osbourne Was Once Locked In A Padded Room By Her Mom

Kelly Osbourne has never been one to shy away from discussing the struggles she’s overcome during her life. This includes her previous addiction to drugs.

The Fashion Police host recently revealed that Sharon Osbourne once locked her away in a padded room in hopes of getting her to kick the habit. Although she eventually put these dark days behind her, Kelly admitted that her mother’s stunt didn’t really work out.

“My mum even had me put in a padded cell once to scare me but, like a brat, I just sat it out until she said, ‘Well, that’s not going to work’, but what I’ve learnt is that no amount of therapy or medication is going to work unless you want it to,” she explained to Cosmopolitan UK.

Although she reportedly put up quite a fight while trying to get off drugs, Kelly Osbourne said that her parents were always very supportive during those difficult years.

The former reality TV star might be upfront about her drug problems now, but she wasn’t always so willing to discuss the matter with others. Osbourne said this was because she wasn’t willing to share with people.

“I would never even tell anyone I had drugs because I wanted them all to myself. I was quite selfish. What changed for me was looking around and seeing that nobody liked me or wanted to work with me,” she said.

In addition to discussing her history of substance abuse, Kelly Osbourne offered up some friendly advice on finding the love of your life. According to her, it all comes down to opening yourself up to another person.

“The only thing I’ll say is that you will never learn what love is on any level until you let someone love you the way you deserve to be loved,” she told the magazine.
