Deon Taylor: Father Of 24 Found Dead

Deon Taylor, father of 24, was found dead in an abandoned building in Detroit. The 45-year-old man’s body was discovered by his brother. His cause of death is unknown, but police have not ruled out homicide.

Taylor’s body was found in a building on the corner of Colfax and Warren. Authorities, including homicide detectives, have combed the scene for evidence. Detroit police are currently awaiting a report from the medical examiner.

As reported by Fox Detroit, Deon Taylor was last seen at the location around midnight. Although the building is abandoned, it is often used by neighborhood residents for parties.

Taylor was reportedly at the site preparing for his son’s graduation party. When he didn’t return home when expected, his family started to worry. Taylor’s brother eventually went to look for him.

The 45-year-old father of 24 was found dead at the site of his son’s upcoming celebration.

Ramona Harper, Taylor’s sister-in-law, explains that the death has stunned the entire family:

“His children are devastated. His grandchildren are devastated, and all I can say is we’re trying to deal with this.”

Taylor’s daughter, Deleesha, remembers her father as a “very loving, strong man.” Although she will miss her father, she knows “he’s in a better place.”

The authorities and Taylor’s family are still trying to understand what happened. As reported by Daily Telegraph, Taylor was well-liked and described as a devoted and loving father.

His son Dwane cannot believe someone would have harmed his father:

“My father meant the world to me. There’s not a person in this world that didn’t like my dad. He got along with everybody. That’s why I don’t understand how this could happen.”

Authorities hope the autopsy results will give them more clues in Deon Taylor’s death. The father of 24 will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
