Robert De Niro made it clear last year that he wasn’t a big fan of Jay-Z . Well, it looks like the feeling is mutual.
The hip hop mogul opened up about his relationship with the movie star today during an interview with radio station Power 105.1.
Jay-Z said : “I treat people based on who they are… who they REALLY are. Not their name, like Robert De Niro. Who they are as a person. It doesn’t matter who you are, everyone has to be respectful… we’re all human beings and we’re supposed to be respectful to one another.”
Jay-Z and De Niro reportedly had a falling out last November at Leonardo DiCaprio’s birthday party . De Niro reportedly confronted the singer, telling him that he was disrespectful for not returning his calls. De Niro was trying to use a Jay-Z song for a project at the Tribeca Film Festival and had been trying to get a hold of Jay-Z. De Niro reportedly left messages for the singer but Hova never called him back.
When asked if he had talked to De Niro since the incident, Jay-Z responded: “No, I haven’t.”
Jay-Z doesn’t like Robert De Niro because he doesn’t think that the actor is respectful. Robert De Niro doesn’t like Jay-Z because he does’t think that the singer is respectful. Hey, it looks like these two already have something in common.
