Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift spent the first day of summer dining at Chili’s and eating ice cream together. It was somewhat surprising to see the two incredibly busy girls together for an afternoon, but who doesn’t want to spend time with their best friend?
Gomez and Swift detailed their adventures in a Vine, which they posted to Twitter. In it, the pair toasted their ice cream cones to summer.
The summer is sure to be busy for both Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift, so it’s understandable the two took some time off to hang out.
Gomez’s debut album will be released in a month and she is also getting ready for her Stars Dance world tour in August. Meanwhile, Taylor is currently on her Red tour, which lasts through September.
Gomez’s girl time with Swift reportedly happened in Dedham, Massachusetts , where they were spotted eating dinner at Chili’s by servers, who tweeted out their excitement at meeting both stars on Friday.
While there is no other proof of the pair’s date at Chili’s Selena has been known to eat at the restaurant before. Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were once seen at Chili’s together for brunch, though the pair have since split up.
Gomez is rumored to be dating Ed Sheeran, though there has been no confirmation made by either star. According to the rumors, Swift was responsible for playing matchmaker and setting them up.

Along with spending time with BFF Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift recently racked up an impressive eight Billboard Music Awards. She also performed on the CMT Awards stage earlier this month.
In the Vine, posted on Swift’s Twitter account on Friday, the two girls clink their ice cream cones in a toast to summer. Taylor then says, “It’s summer, isn’t it?” Selena agrees, saying, “It’s summertime.”
