Amanda Bynes hasn’t done a single thing to earn herself a spot on a minimum wage billboard in Los Angeles, California, except for maybe her rising popularity through Twitter. The former Amanda Show and teen movie star has replaced Justin Bieber’s face on a critical billboard in Hollywood that suggests raising minimum wage will make unemployment issues even worse.

Bieber was featured on the billboard for only three weeks before the change was made. The pop sensation’s ad read, “Why Is Justin Bieber So Sad?”

“Could it be because 24 percent of teens who want a job can’t find one? Teen unemployment makes us all sad,” the billboard went on to say. “Unfortunately, raising the minimum wage will only make things worse.”

Now the Twitter diva in Bynes has replaced Bieber’s head in the ad, which now reads, “Is Amanda Bynes wigging out about teen unemployment?” The new piece features the photo of Bynes during her court appearance in which she is wearing a blonde wig.

The organization responsible for placing Amanda Bynes and Justin Bieber on the billboard is the Employment Policies Institute (EPI), which is based in Washington, D.C.

“The real scandal this summer isn’t the tabloid exploits of a former child star, but that 24 percent of teens who want a job can’t find one,” is the finishing touches of Bynes newest ad hanging above Los Angeles.

Here’s a photo of the “Bieber billboard” that was switched out in just three weeks.

The reasoning behind the switch was explained to The Fame Fatale , who were the first to report on the critical Los Angeles’ ad.

“We had to take it down,” said EPI research director Michael Saltsman. “[Bieber’s attorneys] sent us a cease-and-desist.”

It looks like Bieber wasn’t too pleased to find his face on an unemployment and minimum wage pitch in Hollywood and who can blame him. Now the cover belongs to Amanda Bynes, who’s sure to stir up even more debate just as Justin Bieber did before her.
