TV Host Denies Sex Addiction Claim
TV host David Tutera is a sex addict. Well, that’s what his ex-partner says. The My Fair Wedding host was accused by his partner Ryan Jurica of having a sexual addiction but Tutera issued a statement today saying that the claims were baseless.
Tutera and Jurica are ending their 10-year domestic partnership and the TV host’s sex addiction has become a central part of the legal proceedings. Jurica claims that his partner hired prostitutes and that it ruined their relationship.
The TV host denies those allegations.
Tutera said: “The allegations against me are baseless and untrue and I will fight vigorously to defend my reputation in the court of law as well as the court of public opinion … I believe them to be fabrications of a desperate individual in order to gain a legal advantage in our separation. I am saddened by these developments; I am angered by the lies; and I am committed to moving beyond this painful moment to focus on my professional commitments and the upcoming birth of my children.”
Jurica and Tutera are expecting twins together via surrogate later this year.
TMZ reports that Jurica filed legal documents earlier this month to end the union saying that the couple couldn’t reconcile their differences after several marriage counseling sessions. Jurica says that they were not able to” save (the) relationship due to [Tutera’s] addiction to sex.”
Jurica writes in the court documents: “After repeated attempts at marriage counseling and therapy, we have been unable to save our relationship due to [David’s] addiction to sex … [David] has engaged in a pattern of hiring sex escorts and prostitutes to support his addiction.”
Jurica wants full custody of the children as well as spousal support since Tutera makes more than $1 million a year.
The TV host is also hoping to get full custody of the twins. According to court documents, Tutera also doesn’t believe that he should have to pay spousal support.
Do you think TV host David Tutera has a sex addiction problem? Will it cost him during the court battle?
