Jermaine Jackson is once again refusing to make child support payments. Jackson has a history of failing to meet his legal obligations to baby mama Alejandra Jackson. According to reports this time around Jermaine is simply refusing outright to make payments.
According to legal documents filed with the Los Angeles Child Support Department there is now $30,000 owned by Jermaine.
Alejandra’s lawyers have asked that Jermaine Jackson be held in contempt of court for failing to meet his child support obligations.
The child support filing claims that Jermaine Jackson has failed to make support payments since April 2012.
Jermaine was previously ordered by the court to pay $3,000 per month in support of his teenage sons Jermajesty and Jaafar. According to the filing Jermaine failed to make any child support payments in full.
The CSSD filing claims Jermaine only made $5,621 in total payments since April 2012 and still owes $30,378.
Jermaine Jackson now faces 12 counts of contempt, one count for each month of payments missed. If found guilty and he refuses to pay his balance in full Jermaine Jackson could face up to 60 days in jail. The filing gives Jermaine until August 2013 to pay his balance in full.
This is not even the first time Jermaine Jackson has fallen behind, back in 2011 he owed $90,000 in missed child support payments. Jackson settled his previous failure to pay for $80,000.
Jermaine Jackson’s reps are not responding to requests for more information at this time.
