Phil Jackson finally joined Twitter, but he NBA Hall of Fame coach’s first tweet made fans think he was either losing his marbles or engaging in a bit too much Zen meditation.

Jackson made his first ever tweet on Wednesday in what appeared to be a boast about his signature career accomplishment.

Only here is how it came out: “11 champ;ipnsikp[ ringhs”

The fact that Phil Jackson would leave up the tweet , misspellings and all, seemed even more odd. After all, the Zen Master has carefully crafted his public persona over the past decades and is an accomplished writer as well.

Maybe the legendary coach was getting bored in his down time. Earlier this year, when the Los Angeles Lakers fired coach Mike Brown after a slugging start, Jackson was viewed as a favorite to take over the job.

Jackson even met with the Lakers and was reportedly on the verge of a deal , being told that he had a few days to hammer out the details and decide if he wanted to return, but the team pulled the rug out from under him and named Mike D’Antoni instead.

Jackson was again rumored to be returning to coaching when the New Jersey Nets fired their coach and when the Sacramento Kings moved toward a deal to relocate to Seattle.

Some were so happy to see Jackson join Twitter that they didn’t mind the jumbled tweet. Kobe Bryant welcomed his former coach, including the hashtag #mambasyoda (Kobe has nicknamed himself “Black Mamba”).

Welcome to the GOAT @ philjackson11 to twitter #mambasYoda .

Others offered explanations for Jackson’s tweet.

To be fair to @ philjackson11 , typing with 11 rings on is probably really hard.

After about a day, Phil Jackson finally decided to let fans know what was up and tweeted his explanation.

Much better aol.it/10lkjGj

Phil Jackson hasn’t tweeted again since the explanation.
