Sad Keanu who? Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s new still from his upcoming directorial debut Don Jon’s Addiction is taking the internet by storm.
Gordon-Levitt has proven himself to be a box office heavyweight with hits like Looper and The Dark Knight Rises scoring huge. However, his bonafide movie star image has now been solidified when the internet decided to make a still of him working out in Don Jon a meme.
Much like Ryan Gosling’s Hey Girl , Gordon-Levitt has finally edged through the competition by becoming the next break out hit in the internet memes. The still shows Joseph Gordon-Levitt pumping iron in his role as a modern day porn-addicted Don Jon.
For many who are familiar with Gordon-Levitt, the still is a shocking image, as the usually bean-pole image of Gordon-Levitt is seen with biceps rippling as he works out on his fully-tanned body. It’s a turn for the actor and was the film itself came out of Sundance with buzz-worthy excitement.
It was only a matter of time before Gordon-Levitt’s Don Jon lived in internet infamy. Hilarious memes are going around both Reddit and tumblr, showing Gordon-Levitt (JGL for all of you tumblr fans) in different manipulated versions of the working out photo. Our favorite is of Gordon-Levitt pumping iron in a Robin costume, which is a clever play from his Robin character in The Dark Knight Rises .
