Man Swallows Cousin’s Ear Lobe During Epic Brawl


A Stamford, Connecticut man was slapped with several charges after biting off a portion of his cousin’s ear and swallowing it.

The epic brawl between relatives that led to the incident that was allegedly started because of loud music. According to police, both of the men were intoxicated.

According to The Stamford Advocate, the bloody battle took place at the home of 27-year old Emilio Mendoza. Police responded to the disturbance early Monday morning and arrived to find the home in a blood-soaked and disheveled state. Stamford Police Lieutenant Diedrich Hohn recalled the sight:

“It was a pretty bloody scene.”

According to authorities the fight began when the cousins, who are also roommates, argued over loud music that one of the men was playing. When his cousin asked him to lower the volume, Mendoza allegedly launched into a violent attack.

Ruiz Clemente-Perez, 29, claims that Mendoza repeatedly punched him in the head before the fight took a bloodier turn. As they continued to struggle, Mendoza bit his cousin’s ear lobe. He later admitted police that he swallowed the portion he had bitten off.

The Associated Press reports that Stamford Police have confirmed that Clemente-Perez was bleeding and missing part of his ear when authorities responded to the fight. He was also reported to have sustained a fractured eye socket and a broken nose.

Both men have been charged in the altercation. Emilio Mendoza is currently being held on $100,000 bail and has been charged with first-degree assault. Once Ruiz Clemente-Perez received medical treatment for his injuries, he was charged of third-degree assault.
