‘Kings’ Actor Kaalan Walker Faces Multiple Sexual Assault Counts, Allegedly Raped Women He Met Online

Kaalan “KR” Walker, a rapper and actor best known for his work on the 2017 film Kings, has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, People is reporting. He allegedly began contacting women via social media who were looking to start professional modeling careers. He allegedly set up meetings with them under the guise that he would help them find work in the industry. The Los Angeles Police Department is reporting that he would sexually assault these women upon getting them alone.

Walker was first arrested in Van Nuys on September 11 after authorities were able to link him a string of sexual assaults that date back to 2016. It is unclear as of now how many women he targeted in total, but he was officially charged with nine counts of felony sexual assault on Tuesday, October 24. He is currently being held in custody at Men’s Central Jail on a $1,080,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 14.

The 23-year-old has been making his way up in the industry over the past year. After making his movie debut in Kings, he went on to appear in SuperFly and In Contempt. He also released an EP entitled The Intermission. He was recently pictured at his Kings co-star Halle Berry’s birthday party in August, Fox News is reporting. He uploaded a photo of him and Berry with the caption “Happy Birthday Queen.” Berry’s representatives have yet to return the media’s requests for comment on the situation.

“I am the man I am today because of the love, care, understanding and affection of women,” he wrote on his Instagram in July. “Thank you for dealing with us men and helping us grow every day. Every woman matters ~”

According to Billboard, Green Label had him listed as one of the top 5 new LA.-based artists. He was also a prominent dancer in the Marvel Inc. dance crew. Investigators are reportedly still looking into his case to see if there are more victims that will come forward. Walker’s representatives have yet to release a statement on his arrest and it is unknown if he has legal counsel. He’s spoken before about wanting to remain humble while navigating the entertainment industry.

“I’ve watched an artist have an amazing year and not be talked about the next year,” he said to Billboard in June.

“People are just as disloyal as the Internet. If these people only care about what I can offer them and not about me then, of course, I’ll take the pictures. I’ll do the awards shows, hanging out with celebrities and all that. But as long as I can go back to being normal, I’ll be good.”
