It’s been ten months since Michelle Williams started dating Jason Segel, but finally now that Williams is promoting Oz: The Great And Powerful, she has the opportunity to open up about her blissful relationship.
Michelle Williams told InStyle magazine about dating Segel, and funny enough, she didn’t realize just how popular the How I Met Your Mother actor. Williams explains: “He is nice…I didn’t actually realize who he was before I started dating him. I saw The Muppets movie, and I thought, ‘oh, that’s cute,’ but the truth is I didn’t realize he made a lot of very popular, funny movies or was on a TV show.”
Another thing Williams didn’t notice about Segel, is that at 6’4 he towers over her by a whole foot. Williams continues:
“But maybe more important, I didn’t realize he was so tall. I thought, ‘Hey man, you’re cramping my style!” she said. “I tried wearing wedge heels for a while to compensate but it wasn’t me and I just gave up.”
When Jason Segel and Michelle Williams first started dating, it was believed that mutual friend Busy Philipps hooked them up, but as we reported, Philipps was simply at the same party as the both of them, when Segel asked Williams out on a date. The rest as they say, is history. The two are said to live together on the east coast while Segel isn’t filming How I Met Your Mother .
For the last year Michelle Williams hasn’t gone to work. In fact, her last project was Oz which she is currently promoting with Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz. The three make up the witches of Oz , though the marketing suggests we don’t know which one is the evil witch.
Segel recently signed up for a final and ninth season of How I Met Your Mother , although earlier reports said he was the last cast member to hold out.
