Veteran actress on The Young and the Restless Camryn Grimes, who portrays Mariah Copeland in Genoa City, took to Twitter to reveal some exciting details about this week’s shows.
On Twitter , Grimes posted a snap video of herself with a glass of wine, and she’s taking a big gulp after a long day at work. She said she’s anxious about the upcoming episodes this week, and she’s waiting on pins and needles to see how Y&R fans receive them.
Across the top of the clip Grimes wrote, “Today I worked from 6 am to 8 pm. I was first up and had 10 scenes in a row of heavy, emotional stuff. In total, I had 42 pages of dialogue today. That’s more than one-half one episode script. Mama deserves this. Cheers.”
While Y&R spoilers for this week from Inquisitr don’t indicate a lot of heavy stuff coming up for Mariah, it sounds like something is going to happen that may surprise fans.
Of course, last week on the show, Mariah told Sharon (Sharon Case) about Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) infidelity just hours before their wedding was supposed to take place. That detail led to Sharon showing up for the event, walking down the aisle, and beginning her vows to her intended. However, in a shocking twist, Sharon ripped apart the words she’d planned to say and publically dumped Nick at the altar leaving both their relationship as well as Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy’s (Jason Thompson) relationship in shambles.
Also, Mariah’s brother Noah (Robert Adamson) showed up unexpectedly for the wedding, and they experienced some tension over Mariah and Noah’s ex Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) dating. They eventually cleared the air, and on his way out of town, Noah stopped by Crimson Lights and gave Tessa a little warning about treating his sister right and not breaking her heart.
Speaking of siblings, Mariah’s little sister Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) was also devastated by yet another breakup for her parents. Faith didn’t handle the disappointment well.
While spoilers don’t give much of a hint about the big emotional scenes Grimes referenced in her tweet, there are some possibilities. She might face some type of upset over telling Sharon, which led to such a disastrous, upsetting breakup.
However, Tessa is also apparently keeping some type of secret and not being entirely truthful with Mariah, so these big scenes could have something to do with Mariah’s burgeoning relationship with her girlfriend.
No matter what it is, watching the two-time Daytime Emmy-winning actress should turn out to be a treat for fans.
