New Apple Products For 2013, Analyst Prediction

Piper Jaffray analysts, Gene Munster and Douglas Clinton, have released their predictions for five new Apple products we may expect to see in 2013. The list includes much anticipated upgrades as well.

The first new product on the list is “Apple Radio.” As the media has been discussing and analyzing the possibility since last Fall, this product may be no surprise. Apple Radio service would be a free product that would gain revenue through ads, much like its most likely competitor, Pandora. After last year’s announcement predicting the possibility, Pandora stock fell approximately 12%. It is predicted that Apple Radio will be released in March.

The list, released by MSN, continues with an “iPad Mini with Retina Display.” Analysts predict that by combining two of Apple’s most popular products, the company will be able to offer the best of both. The combination of the successful iPad mini and iPads with retina display may firmly secure Apple‘s place at the top of the tablet market. The new iPad Mini with Retina Display is predicted to be released in March.

Analysts predict that “iOS 7” will be available by June. After the admitted issues and failures with iOS 6, Analysts predict that iOS 7 needs to be a strong and stable product. Predictions for iOS 7 include the addition of Passbook, which is a mobile wallet feature.

“iPhone 5s” may be hitting the stores somewhere between June and September. Analysts predict that the new iPhone 5s will include longer battery life and an updated camera. The size of the iPhone is not expected to change with the upgrades.

By November, we just might see the release of the Apple Television. While Apple has already released Apple TV, which is a receiver box, the Apple Television will be an actual television. Munster and Clinton expect the Apple Televisions, between 42? and 55,” will cost between $1500 and $2000.

Apple reported a historical fiscal year last September, according to their fourth quarter report posted on apple.com.

In the fourth quarter of 2012 Apple reported the sale of 26.9 million iPhones, 14.0 million iPads, 4.9 million Macs, and 5.3 iPods.
