Plurk the election, win $5000

Microblogging service Plurk is running an election competition where users can win a share of $5000.

Plurk the Vote offers a central election focused page for Plurk users. The Election timeline aggregates all messages from across Plurk that contain related keywords like “Obama” or “Mccain”. Plurks highlights plurks about Obama/Biden in blue, and McCain/Palin in red.

Users get their own Mock Election page at, which they can share with friends, and encourage them to vote. The user with the biggest Mock elections on Plurk wins a share of $5,000. Plurk will also be giving away 30 $25 gift certificates over the course of the next 30 days to one voter each day who has voted in a mock election.
