‘Saturday Night Live:’ Justin Bieber To Host And Perform This February
Justin Bieber will certainly have his work cut out for him when he returns to Saturday Night Live later this year.
The Canadian pop star recently revealed that he will both host and perform on the long-running sketch comedy program this February. According to Yahoo! News, Bieber decided to make the announcement on his extremely popular Twitter page.
After hinting around that he might be hosting Saturday Night Live, the singer confirmed his involvement on the micro-blogging site.
“so the word is out…it is true…im Performing and HOSTING SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE on FEB 9th!!! GET READY! #NothingIsOffLimits #BELIEVE.”
Given the controversy surrounding Justin Bieber as of late, chances are the show’s writers are currently cooking up something to tie-in with the singer’s recent controversy. Although the aftermath of the singer’s alleged weed photos have resulted in teenagers cutting themselves, SNL probably won’t let the show close without making a joke about Bieber’s marijuana troubles.
What Saturday Night Live intends to do with Bieber is pure speculation at this point. However, TMZ is reporting that sources close to NBC have said that nothing about the singer’s life will be off limits on the episode.
Bieber himself has reportedly told producers that he wants the cast and crew to poke fun at him all they want. Apparently the singer is ready and willing to show people that he has a sense of humor about himself.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Justin Bieber will be promoting his latest disc Believe: Acoustic on the upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live. The singer’s latest collection of songs is expected to make fans swoon once again on January 29.
Although this is the first time Bieber will host and person, this isn’t his first rodeo on the sketch show. He previously appeared as a musical guest when Tina Fey hosted in 2010.
