Reports about Mark Harmon leaving the popular CBS series after NCIS Season 15 have been making rounds online for quite some time already. Speculations suggest that the 66-year-old star could possibly be forced to leave the show due to his allegedly frail health condition. There were even claims saying that the veteran actor’s wife is already aware of his plans to retire from acting.
Radar Online previously claimed that Mark Harmon could depart from the famous television series due to his advanced age and potentially failing health. An unidentified source even told the publication that the Burbank-native had informed his wife that he is ready to stay away from the limelight. The same insider even said the veteran actor is totally making NCIS Season 15 his last.
“Mark talked it over with his wife, [Pam Dawber], and vowed to seriously consider making next season his last.”
The tipster added that Mark Harmon looks weaker lately. Aside from that, the NCIS Season 15 lead star is reportedly spending more time indoors, which is very strange for someone who is known to be very sporty and vigorous. Reports about the American television and film actor exiting the show came after Jennifer Esposito, who played the role of Alex Quinn, announced that she is leaving after one season in early June.
“He seems to have a lot less energy. When he isn’t working, he spends much of the time holed up inside his house. It’s very unusual for him. He’s always been so active and athletic.”
While these speculations could possibly be true, it is important to note that neither CBS nor Mark Harmon has confirmed anything as of yet. Hence, avid viewers of NCIS Season 15 should take these unverified claims with a grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight reports that the character of Pauley Perrette would be honored before she officially bids goodbye from NCIS Season 15. Speaking with the publication at his TV Guide cover party on Monday, Mark Harmon revealed that the show would give Abby Sciuto an appropriate departure. The husband of Pam Dawber said that the management is aware that fans have learned to love Pauley’s character and they should honor that.
“Oh, we’ll miss her. I’m really aware, and we’re all aware that audiences grow to love characters, and it’s a big deal. And we honor that. Fifteen years is a long time. People do what they do, and they move on and they do other things and that’s part of life.”
The Freaky Friday star added the entire cast and crew of the show will miss Pauley Perrette. Mark Harmon emphasized that some people need to go since they have other important things to do and that is how life works. Stay tuned for more NCIS Season 15 spoilers, news, and updates!
