Blake Shelton dropped his eleventh studio album, Texoma Shore , this week, and some tracks on the record seem to give fans a glimpse into his relationship with Gwen Stefani. In Beside You Babe , he sings about “giving you the rest of my life,” and then croons, “I’ll be right beside you babe ’til the end of time.” Is this a hint that Shelton is finally going to propose?
In the first single from the album, I’ll Name the Dogs , the country superstar also dropped hints when he sang, “I’m talkin’ you and me with the same street name. Same last name, same everything. You name the babies and I’ll name the dogs, yeah.”
Us Weekly reports that Shelton teased the track Turnin’ Me On just days before he released his album, saying it’s not hard to figure out who the song is about.
“She’s Revlon red in the blackest night / lighting up my room in the world just like she’s turnin’ me on,” sings Shelton. Of course, fans know that Stefani is famous for her bold red lips and is a long time Revlon brand ambassador.
These songs make it clear — as if we didn’t already know — that Stefani and Shelton are madly in love and their relationship is a forever kind of thing, and fans want to know now more than ever when the two singers are finally going to tie the knot.
We all know by now that The Voice coach and Hollaback Girl singer began dating in 2015 after they each went through very painful and public divorces. The two ended up talking and bonding over their respective breakups until one day Shelton realized how smitten he was with Stefani. According to Hollywood Life , Shelton said the next thing he knew was that she is all he cared about and wondered if she felt the same way.
Luckily for Shelton, she did. And two years later the couple is still going strong and writing songs about how happy they are together.
Besides a new album, Shelton has also launched a new clothing line called BS by Blake Shelton that features shirts, jackets, and vests. The singer told People Magazine that he thinks some of his plaid shirts would look good on Stefani . He said, hopefully, his plaid shirt is the only thing she puts on.
