Ryan Seacrest and Shayna Taylor have had their share of ups and downs. But with their romance going stronger than ever, the American Idol host is feeling the pressure to take their romance to the next level. Will Seacrest propose to Taylor in the near future?
An inside source told Closer Weekly that Kelly Ripa is pressuring him to propose to Taylor before she gets away. The source claims that Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, told Seacrest that he’s getting older and will not find a better wife than Taylor. They also pushed the Live co-host to wed before he hits 45 and assured Seacrest that if he doesn’t put a ring on it then he might lose Taylor.
Seacrest has not taken his romance with Taylor to the next level, but their relationship is getting serious. This past May, Taylor moved into Seacrest’s new home in New York. The couple also jetted off to the Amalfi Coast in Italy before stopping for a romantic weekend in France. Unfortunately, Kelly Ripa doesn’t think Seacrest is doing enough and wants to see him become a married man next year.
Seacrest has not commented on the engagement rumors. According to People , Taylor recently appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan to participate in a special baking competition . Taylor was pitted against executive producer Michael Gelman’s significant other, Laurie, to find out who bakes the best banana bread. Seacrest introduced Taylor and couldn’t help but gush about her credentials.
“Today’s contender is a personal chef, a graduate of the Art Institute Culinary School and in my opinion, the greatest cook in town. [I’m] proud and excited to have her here,” Seacrest shared.

During Taylor’s segment, it was obvious that Seacrest loves his girlfriend’s cooking. While Taylor talked about her love for homemade cooking, Seacrest admitted that he occasionally helps her make almond milk and crackers. For her banana bread recipe, Taylor made a flourless variety packed with almond butter and organic pumpkin puree. In addition to all the baking, Seacrest also complimented his girlfriend’s skills in front of the camera and assured her that she did a great job.
