Tiny Harris has made it known that she was rich and famous before she fell in love with T.I.
The singer took to Instagram earlier this week, Hollywood Life reports, noting that she has been a self-made woman since her early teenage years, subliminally referring to comments her estranged husband had made, saying he helped her rise to fame.
Tiny Harris has stressed time and time again that she was making a substantial amount of money with the Atlanta group Xscape, so comments about T.I. being the reason she’s living comfortably today is absurd.
Tiny joined the group before she had even started dating T.I., with some outlets having claimed that at this particular time, Harris was allegedly helping the rapper with his own plans to make it in the music industry.
“It’s crazy how things repeat themselves…my hair in the like 95 same 2017 moral of the story…I been doing this sh*t on my own,” Tiny Harris wrote on her Instagram page.
Tiny has publicly shared in the past that people often think she became famous through her relationship to T.I., which clearly isn’t the case.
But since Xscape’s decision to disband in the late ’90s, it would have been hard for people who aren’t familiar with Tiny’s music to know that she has been wiring hit songs for artists such as TLC and Ed Sheeran ever since.
Comments regarding T.I. helping Tiny Harris’ rise to fame comes just weeks after reports revealed that the singer was moving forward with plans to divorce the “Whatever You Like” hitmaker.
It’s said that while Tiny Harris doesn’t necessarily want to pull through with the finalization of her divorce, she knows that by giving T.I. another chance, she’s opening the doors to the possibility of being cheated on again.
Reports claim that Tiny is determined to remain close friends with the rapper, especially since they share children between one another.
Tiny Harris is currently gearing up for a reunion tour with Xscape, which is supposedly being planned to kick off later this year, followed by a reality show that will document the group’s journey.
