Khloe Kardashian might just have proven that the “Kardashian Kurse” is not true after all!
On Friday night, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was cheering on boyfriend Tristan Thompson as the Cleveland Cavaliers took on the Golden State Warriors for Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
The 32-year-old Good American owner appeared to be in high spirits as she sat with the crowd inside the Quicken Loans Arena. Khloe was accompanied by her momager Kris Jenner, sister Kourtney, and Kourt’s kids Mason and Penelope. The famous Kardashian-Jenner family reportedly flew to Ohio just to watch Tristan play.
Khloe proudly rocked her boyfriend’s gold number 13 jersey and leather leggings. Kourtney and her children also donned the Cavs jersey. As for Kris, the famous Kardashian matriarch went for a classy striped sweater.
The Cleveland Cavaliers dominated the Golden State Warriors, marking their first win in the NBA Finals, 137-116. Despite scoring only five points during the game, Thompson became the boost factor that the team needed in this crucial game.
In fact, LeBron James applauded the six-foot, 10-inch center for his timely comeback, “When we needed him the most,” James said of Thompson, “he was there.” Khloe Kardashian’s boyfriend delivered 10 rebounds and five assists during the game.
With the Cleveland Cavaliers victory, many were quick to raise the so-called “Kardashian Kurse.” Khloe being present during the game drew various reactions from fans with some claiming that the “kurse” might not be true after all.
It can be recalled that the Revenge Body star was being mocked for allegedly bringing the “Kardashian Kurse” in the NBA, especially since the Cavs have lost three consecutive times in the NBA Finals.
ESPN’s Jalen Rose even called out the Kardashian when the team struggled with a 3-0 deficit. Apparently, the sports analyst believes that the curvaceous beauty has played a huge role in Tristan’s performance.
“I want to say what every body’s thinking. There are three things in life that are certain to me: Father-time, gravity, and the curse of the Kardashians. Tristan Thompson had zero points in two of the three [finals] games.”
Recently, Khloe Kardashian slammed the haters who believe in the ongoing pop culture myth. In response to a tweet about the so-called “Kardashian Kurse”, the reality star said: “Only stupid people believe stupid rumors. Please don’t give me that much power. Lol fool that you are.”
Meanwhile, NBA commentator Jeff Van Gundy also fired back to those who blamed Khloe for Tristan’s poor performance in his previous games. During the first quarter of Game 4, Van Gundy called the claims “downright low rent.”
“The debate about why Tristan Thompson has not played well, and he hasn’t played well, but the debate about whether his significant other, Khloe Kardashian — and the Kardashian curse — is the reason, to me that’s downright low rent.”
The commentator also defended Khloe and asked people who criticized her for the “Kardashian Kurse” to apologize.
“No, this Kardashian shaming is because she’s an easy target. I don’t know her or her family but I do know this: she deserves an apology from anybody who participated in that type of debate.”
Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson has been dating for over five months now. The KUWTK star already admitted that she’s definitely ready to marry the NBA star anytime. She also revealed that they already talking about starting their own family.
“I would love to have a family. We’ve talked about it. He [already] is a father, and I know for a fact that he would be an impeccable father.”
