Kris Jenner Blasts Caitlyn Jenner After Accusations Of Money Hoarding, Lies About First Marriage
Kris Jenner is telling her side of the story regarding Caitlyn Jenner’s memories about their 23-year marriage. In her new memoir, The Secrets of My Life, Caitlyn, wrote that her ex had been “hoarding money” for years before their split in 2014. E! News posted a sneak peek at the upcoming episode of the clan’s reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, in which Kris blasts Caitlyn for telling tall tales.
“She never paid a bill from 1972,” Kris says in the promo.
“She didn’t know how much a gardener was, and in the book writes: ‘Well, Kris didn’t need me anymore. All the checks for Keeping Up with the Kardashians, they all went to Kris.’ Went to Kris? How about it went to the mortgage, and the insurance, and education? You start talking about how I was hoarding money when we didn’t even have it?”
Kris also had a few choice words about how Caitlyn’s marriage to her second wife, Linda Thompson, ended. Kris claims that when she asked Caitlyn — formerly known as Bruce — why she split from Thompson, the “elaborate” story the former Olympian came up with was completely different than what she wrote about in her book.
“Cate could have told me the story that she writes about in the book, which is: ‘Gee, Linda got so angry and nasty that Cate had to tell her about her gender dysphoria.’ Like, why wouldn’t you have just told me what happened with Linda so at least I could make my own decision if I wanted to get married to someone who really wanted to be a woman?” Kris says.
In the clip, Kris Jenner’s daughter Kim Kardashian accuses Caitlyn of starting multiple families and then abandoning them.
“She just literally started three families with three different people and f**ked everyone over,” Kardashian says of Caitlyn.
In addition to her marriages to Kris Jenner (1991-2015) and Linda Thompson (1981-1986), Caitlyn was married to first wife Chrystie Crownover from 1972-1981.
Kris Jenner accused her ex of throwing her under the bus to avoid negative publicity about herself, saying she’s Caitlyn’s “scapegoat.”
In her book, Caitlyn Jenner claims that Kris Jenner knew all about then-husband Bruce’s dysphoria and that the marriage was for their mutual benefit. Caitlyn also revealed that, unlike her first two wives, Kris was in on the secret that she had been a woman inside her whole life. Caitlyn also explained that she had undergone hormone therapy for more than four years and had size 36B breasts when she met Kris.
Caitlyn Jenner knew her family would react strongly to her memoir. According to People, in April, Caitlyn appeared on Good Morning America to promote the book, saying she wrote it honestly from her perspective.
“I have a lot of friends that know the truth and know what I’ve been through and know the whole situation,” Caitlyn told GMA.
Jenner then went on to insinuate that Kris and the rest of the Kardashian clan are drumming up the drama for their reality show.
“Hey, it’s a reality show, it is drama, but I’m just kind of sorry she went down that road,” Caitlyn said. “But [Kris] is a good person, and we’ve had 23 great years together and raised wonderful, phenomenal kids.”
Kim Kardashian recently told Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen that there is “zero” chance Kris Jenner will ever speak to Caitlyn ever again, a sentiment that’s in line with what Caitlyn told 20/20 in April.
“Do I talk to…Kris all the time?” Jenner said. “No. She’s kind of moved on. I’ve moved on. But we’re fine with each other.”
