Reason Why Nia Jax Hasn’t Been Heavily Featured On ‘Monday Night Raw’ Since ‘WrestleMania 33’

On paper, Nia Jax should be the most dominant female force in WWE. No one else in the Women’s division has her presence, strength, and size. She is one of the most unique WWE Superstars to debut for quite some time. However, her run in NXT wasn’t as strong as it could have been. Suffice to say; it was a surprise to the WWE Universe when she was brought to Monday Night Raw as one of the call-ups during the WWE Draft.

However, her role on WWE television has been inconsistent to the present day. Nia Jax has been kept on the backburner while Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Alexa Bliss are given the majority of the TV time each Monday. She’s not the only Raw Superstar that feels that way, but she’s the only one who took to Twitter to vent her frustration regarding WWE officials not utilizing the entire female roster on Monday Night Raw.

Since posting her comments, the WWE Universe has mostly been in agreement with her. SmackDown Live has done an excellent job showcasing the entire female roster, but Raw has put a lot more focus on building specific stars rather than build the entire Women’s roster. As a result, Mickie James, Dana Brooke, and Nia Jax have all taken a backseat on Raw. In particular, WWE fans are curious why Nia Jax isn’t being featured.

Nia Jax was given a spot in the Raw Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania 33. Obviously, WWE wants to keep her momentum going, but she hasn’t been heavily featured since then. It’s being reported that Jax is healthy and the reason why she has not been featured on WWE television is the powers that be don’t have any big creative plans to put her on Raw every week, and you can only do squash matches for so long.

Right now, WWE officials are focused on pushing Alexa Bliss as the top heel and Bayley as the top babyface on Raw. At the same time, the rivalry between Sasha Banks and Alicia Fox is meant to re-elevate The Boss into the title picture once the Bayley vs. Bliss feud has concluded after WWE Extreme Rules. There just isn’t a lot of time for Jax to have something to do every week, which is unfortunate. However, her time will come.

It’s been reported that WWE officials are planning a huge babyface run for Nia Jax down the line. An angle like that will require a lot of television time for Nia. It’s unclear how the actual turn will happen on WWE television, but the expectation is Jax will become a more inspiring character and present a stronger persona for younger girls and women to identify within the Women’s division because Nia Jax is so unique.

A monster heel run for Nia Jax would have been fresh because she’s a woman. That kind of run is a rarity in the Women’s division. However, the WWE Universe has seen that character before many times. However, a woman like Nia Jax becoming an empowering figure to the fans would be something new and an angle the fans have yet to see. She may need to take a backseat for now, but Nia Jax will be in the driver’s seat soon.

Obviously, it’s hard to sit on the sidelines as a healthy scratch and watch Raw each week rather than have a role on the show, especially when SmackDown has done a great job showcasing the majority of their women each week. However, it seems that Nia Jax’s patience will pay off sooner rather than later in a massive way.
