Frankie Muniz Turns 27, Says He’s Happy To Be Alive After Stroke

Frankie Muniz is happy to be alive for his 27th birthday.

The star of Malcom in the Middle is currently recovering from a “mini-stroke” that he suffered last week. Muniz appeared on Good Morning America this morning to talk about his health scare and to celebrate turning 27.

Muniz said that he was riding his motorcycle in Phoenix on Friday afternoon when his vision started to get blurry. The actor also said that his body started to go numb.

Muniz said:

“Something wasn’t right, I knew I did not feel right. I couldn’t say words, and I thought I was saying them, and my fianceé was looking at me like I was speaking a foreign language.”

Muniz said that he doesn’t drink or do drugs but he does live a “stressful lifestyle.” Muniz, who has stepped back from acting in recent years, plays the drums in the band Kingsfoil.

Muniz said:

“I’ve literally to this day, never had a sip of alcohol in my life. I’ve never had any drugs, I’ve never even smoked a cigarette … I can’t get a deep breath in. I’m still trying to make sense of it, but happy that I’m alive.”

Muniz is best known for playing Malcom in Malcolm in the Middle. His most recent credits include guest spots on Last Man Standing and Don’t Tell The B In Apartment 23.
