Khloe Kardashian And Tristan Thompson Are Going Strong Amid NBA Playoffs

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are going strong as the Cleveland Cavaliers prepare to take on the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Playoffs.

According to a new report, Khloe Kardashian is sticking by her basketball player boyfriend and offering him support as he and his team attempt to nab their second straight NBA Championship title.

“[Khloe Kardashian] is constantly filling Tristan’s head up with positivity. She’s Tristan’s own motivational speaker — like an amateur Tony Robbins,” an insider told Hollywood Life on May 26. “Khloe keeps telling Tristan how they are going to win and go on to crush the Warriors [in the championship]. Khloe has even told Tristan she’s going to get him concert tickets to his two favorite artists, Drake and The Weeknd, which she will give him when he wins the NBA championship.”

Khloe Kardashian is often seen sitting courtside with friends and family during Thompson’s games with the Cavaliers, and when she can’t make it to Cleveland, she’s sure to tune into the televised events. She even filmed a scene for Keeping Up with the Kardashians while watching one of the Cavaliers’ games earlier this month.

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson began dating last summer after Kardashian filed for divorce from Lamar Odom in May.

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom tied the knot in September of 2009, and four years later, after rumors claimed Odom was using drugs and cheating on the reality star with multiple women, she filed for divorce. However, because both parties dragged their feet on the paperwork, the couple was still married when Odom suffered a drug overdose in October of 2015, which meant that Kardashian was left in charge of making key decisions for Odom’s medical care.

Following Odom’s overdose, Khloe Kardashian remained at the former basketball player’s side for months as he recovered and even rented him a home near her family once he was released from the hospital months later. At the time, rumors swirled in regard to a possible reunion, but ultimately, after Odom was accused of a drug relapse, Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce for a second time.

Months later, their split was finalized.

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson were first spotted together in August of last year. Then, the following months, the couple confirmed their relationship during a Memorial Day vacation to Mexico. In the months that followed, the pair was seen together in Miami and Los Angeles.

Although rumors swirled earlier this year in regard to a possible split, sources ultimately confirmed that while the couple appeared to be spending less time together, they were simply tending to their individual careers.

“He’s just really focused on his game right now, which she’s totally behind,” a source told Hollywood Life at the end of last month. “She really supports him, and knows he’s got to go full out while he can. He’s an athlete that’s just how it goes… he still wants to hang with her when he can.”

“Tristan’s career is everything to him, and that’s got to be his priority as he only gets one shot at it,” the source added.

The report went on to reveal that while Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have discussed the idea of a future marriage, an engagement will likely not happen until after the playoffs are over.
