Melania Trump Sizzles In $51,500 Floral Jacket By Dolce & Gabbana In Catania, Sicily [Photos]

First Lady Melania Trump stepped out into the Mediterranean sun in Duomo Square, Catania, on the east coast of Sicily, Italy, earlier on Friday morning, in a stunning $51,500 floral coat by the famed Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana. The collarless jacket, embellished with colorful and assorted 3D floral design embellishments, was the first lady’s stylish way of marking the last day of her eventful foreign tour.

The 47-year-old first lady wore the high-end jacket over a beige flower-embossed dress and heels, also by Dolce & Gabbana, according to the Daily Mail. She carried a matching $1,630 clutch bag by the same designers and wore square, thick-framed black sunglasses for protection against the bright early summer’s Mediterranean sunshine.

She also wore her brunette hair in loose curls over her shoulders.

Dolce & Gabbana has been Melania’s preferred designer label during two visits to Italy as part of the foreign tour with her husband, President Donald Trump. She wore a coat by Dolce & Gabbana when she visited Pope Francis at the Apostolic Palace at the Vatican on Wednesday, as reported by the Inquisitr.

Acknowledging Melania’s patronage, Stefano Gabbana shared a photo on his Instagram of the first lady wearing their floral coat in Sicily and thanked her for modeling it.

Melania flew to Catania by helicopter, escorted from Taormina by men of the U.S. Army 1-241th Aviation Regiment. She and President Trump had stayed at the Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo in Taormina. Briggite Macron, 64, wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, was also spotted earlier on Thursday at the San Domenico Palace Hotel in Taormina, the venue of the G7 meeting.

Melania took to Twitter to post an image of the stunning view from the helicopter during her trip to Catania from Taormina. She posted an image of herself traveling with the military escort. She thanked the men of the aviation regiment for their service.

She later joined other G7 spouses on a visit to the Chierici Palace City Hall, a historic site in Catania, while the G7 Summit proceeded. She looked bright and happy as she stepped out of an SUV on arrival at the Chierici Palace to join other spouses for the tour.

Melania made a major fashion statement in her floral coat on the last day of her foreign trip — her first as U.S. First Lady — after she and President Trump arrived in Italy on Thursday evening and landed at the Naval Air Station Sigonella in Sicily on Air Force One. Trump and his wife were pictured holding hands as they walked down the steps of the airplane and got into an awaiting limousine.

The first couple had earlier sparked a controversy when video clips emerged online appearing to show Melania slapping away Trump’s hand and refusing to hold hands.

The first couple arrived in Italy from Brussels, Belgium. Trump is scheduled to attend the G7 Summit in Taormina, a small town on the east coast of Sicily. He had attended the NATO Summit in Brussels on Thursday and met with the leaders of the European Union.

Melania had enjoyed a day of varied activities in Brussels. She and other NATO spouses, including the French first lady Brigitte Macron, had enjoyed a museum trip and a visit to the Royal Castle of Laeken in Brussels to meet with Queen Mathilde of Belgium. Melania later posed for a group photograph with the royal hosts.

She reportedly changed her outfit three times during her eventful last day in Belgium.

The trip to Sicily is the final stop in the overseas trip of the first couple. It is Trump’s first official tour as president. Trump will meet some of the leaders of the G7 nations for the first time since he became president. The G7 leaders are expected to discuss issues ranging from climate change to global trade.

Melania’s appearance in her Dolce & Gabbana floral coat on the last day of the foreign tour means she had decided to save her best for the last moment.
