Justin Bieber won’t be charged for assault.

Bieber was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with a paparazzo in Calabasas last May. The photographer filed a police report against the singer after the incident, and Bieber was looking at a possible misdemeanor battery charge.

TMZ reports that those charges have been dropped.

The LA County D.A. said today that they will not file criminal charges against the singer because there was not enough evidence to support the charge. The office also said that there were conflicting eye witness accounts.

The dropped charges aren’t all that Justin Bieber has to be thankful these days. The singer is reportedly back on Selena Gomez’ good side and was recently told by Oprah that he was the biggest pop star since Michael Jackson.

Oprah said:

“In 1993 I did an interview with Michael Jackson. Not since then have I done an interview like this. Justin Bieber is a phenomena for our time. And just like Elvis Presley and the Beatles and Michael Jackson he has millions of screaming of fans who adore him.”

Here’s a preview of Justin Bieber’s interview with Oprah.

Are you happy that Bieber won’t be charged for the alleged assault?
