Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Will Reportedly Face Gavin Rossdale For The First Time

It’s been more than a year since Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton started dating, but the two haven’t met each other’s exes yet. There were moments that The Voice coach almost bumped into his former wife Miranda Lambert, including the ACMs. Both performed on stage separately, but they managed to avoid an awkward run-in at the event. Maybe the 40-year-old country charmer and the 33-year-old songstress aren’t ready to see each other after their divorce.

The No Doubt lead singer experienced a bitter breakup as well after she caught her ex-husband having an affair with their former nanny Mindy Mann. Their divorce was more controversial than that of Shelton and Lambert because of the cheating scandal, but it seems that the two are ready to move on for the sake of their three children: Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 2.

In fact, there were reports that Gwen Stefani’s ex, Gavin Rossdale, and her new lover will finally face each other for the first time. According to Life & Style, the two will most likely see each other at an upcoming event happening at their kids’ school.

“Gwen never wanted this to be the way Gavin and Blake met,” their source said. “But Gavin always showed resistance to meeting Blake sooner.”

The 47-year-old pop singer has tried to arrange meetings between the Bush frontman and the country superstar but her ex refuses. Stefani probably thought that this setup would work and the two men in her life will act properly around her children. Maybe her plan would work because Rossdale admitted that he is ready to move on during an interview with The Sunday Times.

“It’s like enough already. I’ve got to move on. Everyone has got to move on,” he said. “For me, it’s just thinking about the boys and how to prioritize them.”

“That’s the driving force behind everything. You just have to… I don’t know. Somehow you have to put one foot after the other and make it happen,” he added.

According to Mirror, the 51-year-old British rocker revealed that he has an incredible life with his kids and that’s what matters most to him. He talked about how social media has been affecting him as well because of the negative feedback he gets. That’s why he wants to fix everything because he wants his sons to grow up to be fine young men.

“They’re the guys – they’re my replacements. The better versions of me,” he said. “I’m going to try and take all the things I’ve ever done wrong and keep them away from that.”

Rossdale was chosen as a mentor of The Voice UK, but he reportedly didn’t get any tips from Stefani. He also tried to avoid answering the question about his ex-wife showing him support for being part of that show. Instead, he claims that they are currently focusing on their kids.

Gwen and her former husband share custody of their three children after ending their 13 years of marriage. They had an emotional meetup several months ago so he could reassert his right as the father of their sons. Stefani’s new boyfriend has gotten very close to Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, maybe that’s why the English musician feels a bit threatened.

“Gwen had a meeting with Gavin to discuss her relationship with Blake and how it will affect the children going forward,” an insider told Us Weekly. “He wants to be consulted on everything concerning the kids and the role that Blake is playing in their lives.”

While Gwen Stefani’s ex wants to be informed about everything that involves their sons, including the time they spent with Blake Shelton, the country superstar has no interest in being friends with the rockstar. He is reportedly disgusted at Gavin Rossdale for cheating on his girlfriend and can’t forgive someone who has hurt her. Their meetup may end up not going well if there is still hatred.
