Blake Shelton Reveals New Song Is About Gwen Stefani, Gushes Over Her
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton may seem like an odd couple to some, but somehow they make it work. They found each other during a hard time in their lives and have been together ever since. Now Hollywood Life is sharing that Blake finally admitted that his new song is about his girlfriend Gwen, which is something that a lot of people assumed. Blake’s new single is called “A Guy With a Girl” and is all about what it is like when he goes out with Gwen. While talking to Access Hollywood, Blake Shelton shared about the song and how he feels about Gwen Stefani.
Blake Shelton spoke out saying, “You know how it is, when you’re in a supermarket or something with her — nobody notices me – she’s GWEN STEFANI!” This song is all about how when a guy goes out he is just the guy with the girl. It sounds like people forget that Blake is even there as soon as they see Gwen Stefani on his arm. Blake also admitted that he loves it when Gwen is in the audience of The Voice. He said, “She’s like Santa Claus, she knows when I’ve been bad!” They have been dating since October of 2015, and the rumors that they will be getting married are always flying. Gwen and Blake did spend Thanksgiving together this year.
This song about Gwen goes, “Sometimes I’m the guy with the boys kicking it back, Or the guy with the guitar singing on a country track, I might be the guy with an ice cold can, stirring up dust on some old farmland, When I walk into the party with you girl, you change all that.” It is very easy to see how this Shelton song is about his girlfriend Gwen Stefani.
Not long ago, Blake spoke to Ellen DeGeneres on her show about Gwen as well. People shared some of the details about what Blake shared. He said, “It’s been just an eye opener to be with someone like her. Believe it or not, I mean, you think Gwen Stefani and No Doubt and she is literally maybe the most normal person that I’ve ever met in my life. It’s been good for me to be with somebody that’s so grounded and just a good human being with a great heart.” It looks like he has finally found his match.
Ellen did ask Blake Shelton if he minded talking about Gwen and he replied that he loves talking about her. Blake didn’t hold back at all. He went on to say, “She’s hot. Have you seen her? I mean look at that.” Ellen responded saying, “Oh, I didn’t notice. I just realized! Now that I look at her, she is attractive! I didn’t know.” Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani both went through very public divorces at the exact same time. They seem to have both moved on now, and it worked out in the end for everyone involved.
Blake and Gwen have never admitted that a wedding is coming, but they are happy together. If Blake has proposed, then they haven’t admitted it just yet. It wouldn’t be surprising if they ended up getting married and then told the fans about it later.
