Amber Portwood Leaving ‘Teen Mom OG’? Why She Stormed Out Of The Reunion
Is Amber Portwood finished with Teen Mom OG? The reality star broke down during the first part of the reunion special, storming off set and shouting she’s done with the show. What caused Portwood’s emotional response?
OK! Magazine is reporting that Portwood got emotional after a heated chat with ex-boyfriend Gary Shirley turned towards their daughter Leah. The emotions started flowing when Portwood opened up about how little she sees her daughter.
“I’m f**king done with this show. I’m done,” a tearful Portwood exclaimed to her co-stars. “I quit. I’m done. I’m just done. I’ve been doing this for 8 years, I’m 26, I’m done. I quit.”
Amber tried her best to get closer to her 7-year-old this season. She even moved near Shirley’s house to make things easier on both families. Despite her efforts, Shirley refused to change Leah’s busy schedule and won’t let the young one sleep overnight at Portwood’s home.
The drama, unfortunately, is only going to get worse for the Teen Mom star. According to Too Fab, Portwood minces words with Farrah Abraham during the second part of the reunion special. The co-star’s feud has been long brewing, but it kicked into high gear during the final two episodes this season.
During the season finale, Portwood stirred up some major drama when she compared Abraham’s plastic surgery to her own “mommy makeover.” When asked about future cosmetic plans, Portwood said she doesn’t want to end up looking like other members of the show.
“It’s like contouring,” Portwood explained to the producer. “I’m not trying to look like Farrah or anybody like that. I’m trying to look like Amber, whose body never went back to where it was, it’s gonna be natural.”
Later, Portwood sat down with Dr. Drew Pinsky and opened up about her relationship with the former adult film star. Dr. Drew asked if she and Abraham were on good terms, and the Daily Mail reports that Portwood made it obvious that they are anything but cozy. Unsurprisingly, Portwood’s biggest beef if how Abraham dished on her relationship with Leah.
“We used to be and then she decided to open up her crooked lips. She decided to do an interview saying something about how it’s good that [Amber’s daughter] Leah is with Gary and how my house probably smells like piss. You don’t do that,” Amber Portwood admitted. “She’s been mean to Catelynn, Maci, my fiancée, Taylor, everybody on this show and her piece of s**t boy toy Simon.”
Portwood didn’t stop there.
“When she makes a quote saying she’s the reason why this show is on, well I’m sorry, when I went to prison, this show was not on and when I got out is sure as hell was on,” she added. “And she was selling her vagina while I was gone. We’ll make that clear.”
Things get really heated during the second part of the reunion. A promo clip reveals that Abraham and Portwood get into a nasty spat after the former referred to Portwood’s fiance as a “pedophile.”
“Just because someone’s 20 years older than me doesn’t mean he’s a pedophile,” Portwood defended her man in the clip while storming back on stage. “I’m gonna stand up for my f**king man!”
Of course, Abraham hasn’t been silent through the drama. Hollywood Life reveals that Abraham recently hit back at Portwood, calling her “Miss Piggy” in a post on Instagram.
The reality star shared an unflattering picture of Portwood next to the muppet with text that read, “I am not Farrah. Definitely not. You’re Miss Piggy.”
The Teen Mom OG reunion continues with part two airing December 5 on MTV.
