Andy Cohen Confirms He Is Still A Taylor Swift Fan Even After Awkward Met Gala Encounter

Andy Cohen is making his press rounds for his new book and doing some major name-dropping in the process. Superficial was just released a few weeks ago and everyone who is anyone is talking about it. On Watch What Happens Live, Cohen has had some of his famous friends read passages from the book. While you may think it is just another celebrity diary, that is not the case. Cohen explains in detail things that have happened, even when he knows there could be plenty of shade thrown his way. While that may be intimidating to some, he isn’t letting anything bother him.

One of the most talked about stories from Andy Cohen has been his encounter with mega-celebrity, Taylor Swift. The two crossed paths at the Met Gala after-party earlier this year. Ironically, Katy Perry was also in attendance. Cohen admits that he jokingly mentioned Perry to Swift but the joke didn’t exactly go over well. In fact, Taylor told him he better not talk about their conversation on Watch What Happens Live. So instead, he decided to put it in his book. According to Us Weekly, Andy Cohen is still a huge Taylor Swift fan and will definitely approach her again if their paths cross. It seems like it could be water under the bridge now as Swift has not spoken out about being in his book.

Several of the stories in Superficial attest to how huge of a celebrity Andy Cohen actually is right now. He is the face of the Bravo network, running several of the reunion shows and hosting his own late-night talk show. Surrounded by a huge group of celebrity friends, Cohen usually attends some of the hottest parties in the Hollywood circle. Some of his best friends include Kelly Ripa and Anderson Cooper. During the huge controversy with Ripa and her former co-host Michael Strahan, Andy definitely showed support for his friend. In fact, he has been a guest co-host on her morning talk show several times. Rumors swirled that he was interested in joining her full-time but he confirmed that was not the case.

During one of his many interviews, Andy Cohen confirmed that he has heard from some of the celebrities he wrote about in his book. He has stated that many of them have reached out but no one has been angry yet. Taylor Swift has not commented on his account of what happened at the Met Gala and likely won’t. Much of her shade throwing happens low-key and isn’t talked about. Swift’s clean image is far from reality but so far she has managed to keep people from talking. Cohen wasn’t going to let their encounter slide just because he is such a huge fan. While she threw major shade at her former friend, Swift didn’t go into detail about their feud. “Katy who?” was enough of a confirmation for Cohen, which is exactly where he stopped.

This is the second book from Andy Cohen in a diary format. Fans are excited to learn about the encounters he has, even if some of them have been disappointing.
