‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Trailer: Quill’s Secret Crush On Gamora Spills

The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer has just been released and it shows how much Star-Lord likes Gamora, although she gets to know about it in the most embarrassing way.

The Guardians of the Galaxy are back with a new trailer and it features a lot of shooting, slow-motion jumping, shouting, and a cute little Groot (Vin Diesel).

But one of the funniest parts of the preview is when Star-Lord’s (Chris Pratt) secret crush on Gamora (Zoe Saldana) gets revealed in a very awkward manner.

In the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer, Pratt’s character, Peter Quill aka Star-Lord, is sitting beside an alien who has the ability to look into the minds of the people and feel their emotions when she touches them.

When she touches Quill, she senses that he feels “love” for someone, to which Star-Lord agrees and says that he does feel a deep kind of love for everyone.

But then the alien creature with the weird-looking antennae on her forehead says that Star-Lord’s “love” is a sexual kind of love and she says, “You feel sexual love… for her!” then she points at Gamora.

Drax (Dave Bautista) bursts out laughing and points out the obvious that this is embarrassing for Quill.

Fortunately, Gamora doesn’t seem to think so and her cute little smile might imply that something will blossom for Star-Lord and her in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the alien who just revealed Star-Lord’s deepest, darkest secret is Mantis (Pom Klementieff), an alien who is not really adept at social situations.

“She has never really experienced social interaction,” Jonathan Schwartz, the EP of the film, told EW. “Everything she learns about dealing with people, she learns from the Guardians of the Galaxy, which is a very weird group to learn your social intricacies from.”

So it’s not surprising that Mantis blurts out Quill’s inner sexual feelings for Gamora in front of her. Also, it’s not surprising that Drax reacted like a fifth grader because he’s just as clueless in social interactions as Mantis.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer features Baby Groot as well.

The trailer features the most likable character in the first film, although in this sequel he’s become a lot smaller but not any less cuter. In fact, he’s even smaller than Rocket (Bradley Cooper), the gun-toting raccoon.

In one of the scenes of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer, Rocket is telling Groot not to push the red button on his explosive device because it will immediately set off an explosion and kill everyone without giving them a chance to get to a safe distance.

When Rocket asks Groot if he understood what he has just said, the little humanoid tree tells him, in his very limited way of speaking, that he should push the red button that will immediately kill them all.

Rocket gets infuriated but he lets Groot try again, so the little tree says, “I am Groot… I am Groot.” Then Groot points back to the all-destroying red button and says once more, “I am Groot,” indicating that he should push it and that’s when Rocket loses his cool.

The lovable humanoid tree is back, and from the looks of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer, this little fella is a lot more rambunctious than the one viewers saw in the first Guardians of the Galaxy.

According to the executive producer, Baby Groot is more high-spirited and rowdier than the 12-foot tree-man in the first film, which is why Rocket is a bit frustrated and concerned about letting the little sprig be in charge of detonating a powerful bomb.

He may be a lot cuter, but Baby Groot is still the badass that viewers saw in the first film, and in one scene of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer, the little sprig proves how much of a badass he is when he runs after a bad guy and throws him off a bridge with his extending branches. So never mess with Baby Groot.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will hit theaters on May 2017.
