Selena Gomez And Niall Horan Could Rekindle Their Reported Romance After Her Alleged Stint In Rehab

Selena Gomez and Niall Horan may rekindle their alleged romance.

During an interview on Wednesday with Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM morning show, On Air With Ryan Seacrest, the One Direction singer surprisingly revealed he was single and open to giving his rumored relationship with Selena Gomez a second shot.

“I don’t have a girlfriend,” Horan revealed to the host when asked about his love life, via a report by E! News on November 30.

“You should rekindle with [Selena Gomez],” Seacrest said in response. “I like her.”

Selena Gomez and Niall Horan recently attended the 2016 American Music Awards in Los Angeles and during the event, they were caught sharing a hug after Gomez’s emotional acceptance speech for the Best Female Artist: Pop/Rock award.

Now, Horan has confirmed he would like to rekindle what they had.

“Sort it out!” Horan he suggested to Seacrest of his possible reunion with Selena Gomez.

Niall Horan also revealed that it had been “about a year” since his last relationship and said he “prefers” to stay single.

After being linked to one another at the end of last year, Selena Gomez and Niall Horan were said to have ended their rumored romance by February.

“The reason why everything cooled was because [Selena Gomez] didn’t want to take anything further. Niall really was happy when they hooked up but now realizes it was a drunk hookup night that didn’t do anything more because Selena didn’t want it,” a source revealed to Hollywood Life at the time. “He would have liked it to have been something but now that time has passed he realizes a relationship with Selena will never happen. And being her friend is an OK landing spot. He is not heartbroken, just disappointed that it never had the chance to be more.”

Selena Gomez announced on August 30 that due to struggles with anxiety, depression and panic attacks, she would be taking some time off from her busy Revival World Tour schedule.

In a statement to People Magazine, Selena Gomez explained, “As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways… I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.”

Following the release of her statement, Selena Gomez reportedly traveled to Tennessee, where she checked into a treatment center outside of Nashville. According to a report by Us Weekly in October, the rehab facility was described as “private and quiet” but also “super intense.”

Although Selena Gomez wasn’t seen much during her time in Tennessee, she did step out for at least two meals with her family, including her mother, Mandy Teefy, her stepfather, Brian Teefy, and her grandparents. As the magazine revealed, Selena Gomez was spotted at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant with her mom and stepfather in early October where she graciously posed for photos and videos with fans. One day later, Selena Gomez stepped out for breakfast with her grandparents at the Riverstone Restaurant in Townsend, Tennessee.

During her visit to the restaurant with her grandparents, Selena Gomez was said to be “laughing a lot” as she ate and chatted with her fans.
