‘Tom Clancy’s The Division’ Survival DLC 1.5 Update: Reddit Gameplay Review Of Named Weapons, Economy, World Tier, And Gear Sets — New Trailer With Hunter Faction

Tom Clancy’s The Division Expansion 2 DLC 1.5 update is releasing tomorrow for Xbox One and the PC. There is also a new set of patch notes, according to VG 24/7. It’s quite a lengthy read, but what’s most entailing are the high-end weapons that are named after bosses. Reddit gave a status of the game, and a new ominous trailer was released today featuring the Hunter faction. It looks like there will be quite a gameplay challenge for an agent merely scavenging for survival.

“We have tested it on the PTS and now it is here – Update 1.5 and the Survival DLC (at least for PC and Xbox) will drop on November 22nd and this is what you need to know to get a good start in the next chapter of The Division.”

So it looks like Massive is back in business and player numbers are on the rise in a significant fashion according to YouTuber Skill Up.

PlayStation 4 Launch Date Revealed

Finally, PlayStation 4 owners and fans of The Division will now find out that the game has a confirmed release date of Dec. 20. Such a prediction was made by YouTuber Skill Up when he saw the Xbox One site with it’s Nov. 22 release date already displayed.

He was aware that there was a 30-day range between the PC and Xbox One release and that of the PS4, so he was on target. Skill Up ascertained this to be how the Swedish appreciate their time off during the Christmas holidays and between the 20th and Christmas Day would allow for enough time on the clock to rectify issues before Santa makes his flight.

The Division Survival Gear Sets And World Tier Overhauled

According to Massive’s post on Reddit, there was a complete overhaul from the 1.4 to 1.5 update. This included the World Tiers as well as gear sets. The new level adds a fifth world allowing for a 256 gear score where all players can be on an equal playing field as they rally up equipment as a community more evenly.

Also added are more frequent gear drops and sealed caches rewarded via a Field Proficiency marker as well as other missions. This can help you level up quicker to get to where you need to be. It’ll be fun exploring the new loot system in this fashion and would tend to make the gameplay more appealing as these incentives have been added to The Division 1.5 update.

The Economy: Changes To Rewards

Massive took it upon themselves to change the method of acquiring credits in The Division 1.5 update as to keep agents from farming lower levels and just provide them with the incentive to acquire money in higher World Tier areas. This includes activities/missions for both regular and Phoenix credits. This is to ensure the time investment is balanced. An exception was made in World Tier One.

“The exception to this rule is World Tier 1, where they lowered the credits rewards slightly. For example, in Update 1.5, a Challenging Incursion in World Tier 2 rewards 100 Phoenix Credits, just like it does now. This reward is increased to 120 in World Tier 3, 165 in World Tier 4 and jumps up to 270 in World Tier 5.”

Also, products sold at vendors will correspond with your current gear score and not of the tier level. This will work in sync as you run your character from levels one through 30. Same goes for caches. The vendor system nicely runs in scale with the corresponding World Tiers.

Survival And World Tier 5 High-End Named Weapon Details

The Division update now has some juicy details of these high-end weapons. Their nomenclature comes via the named bosses and with them also come unique talents.

The only way these can be acquired is either in Survival mode or while in World Tier Five.

  • [Mask] Ferro’s oxygen mask: Players can move and shoot while under burn status effect.
  • [Knee Pads] Shortbow championship pads: Grenades have shortened fuse timer.
  • [Holster] Colonel Bliss’ holster: Powerful improvements for sidearms.
  • [Gloves] Skulls MC gloves: Increased damage when no gear set bonuses are active.
  • [Chestpiece] Barrett’s bulletproof: Powerful bonuses when skills are on cooldown.
  • [Backpack] NinjaBike messenger bag: Less DZ loot and DZ XP lost when dying in the Dark Zone.

Are you looking forward to Tom Clancy’s The Division Survival DLC 1.5 expansion update? Are the changes much more appealing and even juicer of an incentive to put your headphones on and render your mouse and keyboard useless after so much wear and tear?

Find out when The Division releases tomorrow on Xbox One and PC come Nov. 22.
