Kate Middleton’s Mom ‘Royally’ Embarrasses The Duchess With Horrific Halloween Costume

One of a mom’s many tasks in life is to perpetually embarrass her offspring, and Kate Middleton’s mother is no exception.

It’s no secret that Kate Middleton has a lot in common with her hordes of adoring fans. Kate’s girl next door appeal is an essential part of the Duchess’s popularity. Everyday women folk relate to Kate because like them, she is “common,” perversely fond of high-street fashion, slightly awkward in social situations, and above all, like many women her age, Kate appears to still be walking in the shadow of her mother.

Let’s look at the facts. Kate’s mom Carole Middleton is what one might call a self-made woman. This great granddaughter of a Durham miner, a working class brick if you will, pulled herself up by her breeches and the endeavors of her naked ambition to become a true middle-class battle-axe in every sense of the word.

The former flight attendant who set up the highly-successful online retail site Party Pieces didn’t need to marry a Prince to make her millions, she did it all through her own grunt, groan, and tenacious audacity.

And now that audacity has come back to bite Kate on the butt

Kate Middleton’s parents certainly know how to turn a buck. Their Party Pieces company has made Mr. and Mrs. Middleton millionaires, but it would appear they have overstepped the boundary of good taste and blundered dangerously into the territory signposted “extremely offensive” with their latest range in “sickening” Halloween costumes.

The Mirror reports that Michael and Carole Middleton’s company have been slammed for selling a costume made to look like a dead pet with a tyre mark across its body.

How lovely! Is there no depth to which capitalism will not venture just to make a killing?

The trend of selling horrific Halloween costumes to young children is on the rise. There’s a certain vulgarity of thought and crassness of concept inherent in a Jack the Ripper or Regan from The Exorcist Halloween outfit.

This coarse, plebeian fashion of dressing up as a monstrous freak to embrace what is in essence a pagan and anti-Christian festival has seemingly been adopted with garish relish by Kate Middleton’s parents, who have really pushed the perimeters of good taste this Halloween with their “roadkill” bodysuit.

It really is beyond the pale to encourage kids to dress up as domestic pets who have just been crushed by a few tons of truck in honor of a festival with slightly Satanic undertones.

A survey conducted by parenting site ChanelMum discovered that nearly half of parents questioned were of the opinion that Halloween costumes aimed at kids have gotten out of hand.

The consensus amongst good and honest god-fearing folk is that the costumes no longer have a traditional Halloween theme and are selected simply for their shock value.

When you have hyperactive toddlers dressed up as Jason from Friday the 13th, or young teens stomping around the place as Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, it’s evident we have abandoned our moral compass and are freewheeling into the abyss of no return.

ChannelMum founder Siobhan Freegard believes retailers, such as Kate Middleton’s parents, who sell inappropriate costumes need to take more responsibility.

“Halloween maybe the second biggest event for retailers after Christmas – but it should be about having harmless fun not encouraging children to wear horrible and even highly inappropriate outfits.

“Stores have become more responsible on everyday clothing, and dressing up should be no different. There is no excuse for putting profit before children’s welfare.”

What Kate Middleton, in her demure floral frocks, conservative hemlines, and sensible shoes, makes of her mom’s ghastly Halloween faux pas is anybody’s guess, but the Duchess is probably mortified that her parents are marketing such an uncouth and distasteful clothing line to celebrate a pagan holiday.
