Selena Gomez Is In Tennessee For Rehab After Justin Bieber Feud And Tour Cancelation?

Selena Gomez has just surfaced in Tennessee, but is she there for rehab?

At the end of last month, it was reported that the 24-year-old singer had traveled to a Christianity-based rehabilitation center in “wooded area,” where she intended to address her recent mental struggles, which include bouts of anxiety, depression, and panic attacks.

Selena Gomez is going to extraordinary lengths to get her life “back on track” after cancelling her Revival World Tour and fighting with Justin Bieber on Instagram last month, a source suggested.

“The facility is a women’s only facility in a secluded wooded area,” a source told Radar Online. “She’s staying for more than 60 days.”

Selena Gomez’s rehab “is not a huge celebrity center or anything like that, and it’s not somewhere where Selena has any ties,” the source continued. “The rehab has a Christianity-based track, which might have been appealing given her religious background.”

At the facility, Selena Gomez is expected to undergo intense therapy sessions and equine therapy. She will also be allowed to leave the treatment center on occasion, which means that her recent visit to a Texas Roadhouse doesn’t mean that she’s necessarily left the facility for good.

“Residents are allowed to leave as a group on occasion for day trips to the surrounding area,” the source explained. “They’ve significantly heightened security since she checked in.”

That said, Selena Gomez hasn’t confirmed that she is actually in rehab. She’s only come forward with her need for time off and noted that she is hoping her career hiatus will be beneficial to her future.

In August, after wrapping up her tour duties in New Zealand with a show in Auckland, Selena Gomez was involved in a very public fight with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, on Instagram. The fight, which resulted in Bieber’s exit from the social media platform, began after Bieber responded to his fans’ negative comments about his then-girlfriend, Sofia Richie.

After Bieber hinted that his fans were fake fans due to their mean messages to Richie, Selena Gomez spoke up, noting that he should be keeping his romance with Richie to himself. She also said that his fans love him, but he didn’t want to hear it and later accused Gomez of using him for attention. In turn, she claimed he had cheated on her several times and told him that she was the one who offered forgiveness.

Weeks later, after Bieber reportedly suggested Selena Gomez cheated on him with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik, the current boyfriend of model Gigi Hadid, Gomez announced she would be taking some time off to address her mental struggles, which were reportedly the result of her lupus diagnosis.

In a statement to People Magazine in late August, Selena Gomez said that after being diagnosed with lupus, she began to face symptoms of the illness, which have included anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. She went on to reveal that in order to be proactive about her health and happiness, she’s decided to take a break.

“Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues,” she explained.

Selena Gomez’s sighting in Tennessee on Saturday marked her first public appearance since making her announcement weeks ago.
