Over the past few months, several media reports have been claiming that Descendants of the Sun co-stars Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo are dating. These South Korean heartthrobs, who rocked KBS with the military romance K-drama, have been the subject of dating speculation among the fans.
Social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Weibo have been buzzing with photographs of Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo wearing matching bracelets and similar outfits. Several photographs showed the couple caught in a moment of animation — the couple were holding hands, looking into each other’s eyes, or doling out an “much in love” smile.
Recently, based on an Instagram post by Song Hye-kyo, The Inquisitr reported that Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo have taken off to an exotic destination in Europe to celebrate the actor’s birthday and that the couple are holidaying in the mountains of Norway [ read the full story here ]. Neither Song Joong-ki nor Song Hye-kyo has confirmed or denied this report, although their agencies have refuted other rumors.

On the other hand, several other reports claimed that Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo will confess their love for each other on the actor’s birthday. Some even claimed that the couple is planning a secret wedding and expecting a baby.
Following these reports, both Song Joong-ki’s agency and Song Hye-kyo’s have come forward to say that the couple are “just friends” and that there’s no romance going on between them.
According to a report by All KPop on September 30, the agencies of both Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo came out to offer public statements.
“It’s definitely not true. It’s ridiculous. We’re just laughing about it,” the agencies told the media.

On the other hand, Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo have gotten used to the neverending speculation around their relationship. Every little action that involves these two actors is under the purview of the media and eagle-eyed fans.
Song Joong-ki in a recent interview said that the both he and Song Hye-kyo are aware of the dating rumors. He added that he discusses these relationship updates by various news agencies with his Descendants of the Sun co-star and laughs about it.
“Hye-Kyo and I are both aware of those rumors, and we are really enjoying them. We even talk about them during company dinners. I think that the viewers think that because of the overwhelming positive response that the drama has gotten,” actor Song Joong-ki said.
On the professional front, Song Joong-ki has some good news to share. According to a news report, Song Joong-ki recently confirmed that he will be acting in the upcoming Korean drama Man to Man . The filming of this Korean drama will be begin in November.
Song Joong-ki is also currently filming Battleship Island , which is slated for release early next year.
Song Hye-kyo, on the other hand, hasn’t announced any projects yet. Recently, the beautiful Korean actress was crowned the Goddess of Asia. This title is a feather in the cap for Song Hye-kyo, as it gives her global recognition and possibly a chance to star in a foreign movie. According to news reports,the actress is planning a fan meet to commemorate her 20 years of experience in the Hallyu entertainment industry.
