Taylor Swift And Tom Hiddleston’s Relationship Turbulence: Tom Tired Of ‘Glorified Escort’ Treatment

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s storybook romance reportedly isn’t as perfect as it appears to be, and it may not have a happy ending. According to a recent report, Tom is sick and tired of the way Taylor is treating him, and he’s not going to stick around unless things change.

The first chapter of Tom and Taylor’s whirlwind romance played out in front of the paparazzi, but it’s been weeks since the pair have been photographed together in public. A source recently told Radar Online that this is because Tom has taken issue with the way he’s being portrayed by the media and Taylor’s alleged insistence that he must come to her whenever she calls.

“Tom is just done with it,” the insider dished. “It bothers him so much that they’ve become known as this fauxmance laughing stock.”

According to Cosmopolitan, some Tom Hiddleston fans thought his romance with Taylor Swift looked too picture-perfect to be true when the couple was photographed kissing on the rocks of a Rhode Island beach in mid-June, and there was speculation that the photos were faked. Professional paparazzo Justin Steffman backed up Hiddleston’s distraught fans by saying that the first photos of Swift and her new leading man looked staged to him. However, he also said that they were taken by a paparazzo pal of his who is “one of the best in the business when it comes to capturing sneaky pictures,” so he couldn’t say with certainty that they were faked.

Buzzfeed added fuel to the fauxmance fire when it published an article purporting to show “evidence” that Swift and Hiddleston’s romance was just an elaborate music video shoot.

Taylor Swift’s British beau was eventually forced to answer an awkward question about the validity of his love story, and he insisted that he wasn’t just playing the part of Taylor’s Prince Charming.

“Well, um. How best to put this? The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we’re very happy,” Hiddleston said during an interview with the Hollywood Reporter. “Thanks for asking. That’s the truth. It’s not a publicity stunt.”

The Night Manager star reportedly “chuckled” when he was quizzed about the fauxmance rumors during that mid-July interview, but he’s laughing no longer.

“It’s become a total charade and Tom is sick of being treated like a glorified escort,” the Radar source revealed.

Taylor and Tom are reportedly in “crisis mode” because Taylor wants her exhausted boyfriend to fly out to visit her whenever she wants him to. According to Us Weekly, Taylor sent her private jet to pick Tom up at the Hollywood-Burbank Airport on August 14. He reportedly flew out to Rhode Island to spend some time with Taylor and her family, but the paparazzi did not get any photos of that visit. There have been no reports of Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston spending time together since, and they were last photographed together on July 27.

Taylor and Tom reportedly had their first major fight in early August, and Us Weekly reports that it was over Tom’s busy schedule. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Taylor has been enjoying a little downtime in NYC, but Tom has been in Australia filming Thor: Ragnarok. The actor did a bit of Emmy campaigning after being nominated for his role in The Night Manager.

“There was so much going on so it was hard making their schedules work, and they were upset they couldn’t see each other,” an insider revealed. “Tom is busier than her right now, so it’s been hard.”

Hiddleston’s Ragnarok costars are reportedly making things worse by teasing him over his relationship with Swift, and one of his Avengers costars, Robert Downey Jr., also got in on the action by taking to Instagram to poke fun at Hiddleston’s T-shirt tribute to his love for Taylor Swift.

Hollywood Life reports that Tom Hiddleston asked Taylor Swift to be his Emmy Awards date back in July, so Hiddleswift fans can breathe a sigh of relief if the couple walks their first red carpet together at the September 18 event. If Taylor and Tom don’t attend the Emmys together, then perhaps fans should worry that Hiddleswift really is over.
