The drama that ensued following the announcement that Amber Heard and Johnny Depp were divorcing following allegations by Heard of physical abuse, has seemed to dissipate since the final settlement was reached last month.

The former couple divorced and Heard withdrew her accusations of physical abuse stating that the Pirates of the Caribbean star never intended to abuse Heard, and that the two had a very passionate and, by times, volatile marriage. The end decision was that Depp was to pay out $7 million to Amber, and the actress made it known that every penny would go to charity.

What is life for Amber like after Johnny? Sources say that the beauty is enjoying her single life and the fact that she can now move on. The insider also stated that Amber wants a more positive focus on her since the negative press about the former couple’s tumultuous split has worn on her. People notes the words of the source who spoke on the subject of Heard post Depp.

“She wants a more positive focus on her. She is an actress and wants to just focus on work now. She loves living in London. She is excited about working there and spending time with friends.”

Following the highly publicized divorce, Amber has been spotted out enjoying time with friends and jogging in London. The publication shared some details of a girls night out Heard joined in for recently.

“Heard has been spending more time in London as she prepares to film her role as superhero Mera (aka Aquaman’s love interest) in DC’s comic book movie Justice League. The actress recently enjoyed a girls’ night out with celeb pals Cara Delevingne and Margot Robbie, which included going to a Rolling Stones exhibition and grabbing dinner at the Ivy Kensington Brassiere.”

It was on that same day that Amber had announced she was, in fact, donating the entire amount she received from her settlement with Depp to charity. The source went on to note how happy the actress seems to be.

“She seems very happy and relieved to be away from L.A. She doesn’t talk much about Johnny and instead seems happy that she is moving forward.”

Additional headlines have speculated that Amber Heard has begun a romance with Tesla founder and billionaire of the tech industry, Elon Musk. However, these claims have been stamped out by a source close to Heard who shares that the two “have been friends for years and they remain just friends now.”

Although the intense drama that came from the divorce proceedings and abuse claims has been put to rest, there was still a bit of a dispute that came in regards to Heard’s intention to donate all money from the settlement to charity. Reason for this was due to the fact that Depp decided to write the checks to the charities himself in the amount of $7 million as opposed to first sending the amount to Heard. The actress’ attorney then indicated on Heard’s behalf that she wanted Depp to double the amount seeing as by sending the amount himself the star would be given a tax deduction.

The Independent shared the words of Heard’s lawyer in regards to the dispute over the charitable donation made in Heard’s name by Johnny Depp.

“Amber Heard appreciates Johnny Depp’s novel interest in supporting two of her favourite charities, the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) for domestic violence and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. This is great and unexpected news. However, if Johnny wishes to change the settlement agreement, we must insist that he honour the full amount by donating $14m dollars to charity, which, after accounting for his tax deduction, is equal to his $7m payment obligation to Amber. “
