‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Spoilers: Which Beloved Character Will Be Making A Comeback?
As filming continues, more Stranger Things Season 2 spoilers have been coming out of the woodwork online. And, we can now exclusively confirm, there are a few beloved characters who will definitely be making a comeback during the second season of the popular Netflix show!

According to Chatt Sports Net, some of the confirmed Stranger Things Season 2 spoilers are courtesy, of course, of the Duffer brothers, who are the creative minds behind the runaway hit. They recently sat down with IGN (and their quotes have been shared, and re-shared, across the Internet), and they were all too quick to share the news that they knew the fans were dying to hear. The biggest news, of course, is that despite her demise in Season 1, Barb (played by Shannon Purser) will indeed be making a comeback in Season 2, though not necessarily in the way fans think. Matt Duffer shared his thoughts about Barb when he said:
“Barb will not be forgotten. We’ll make sure there’s some justice for Barb. People get very frustrated, understandably, that the town doesn’t seem to be really dealing with Barb. That stuff is all happening. We’re just not spending any screen time on it.”
Other Stranger Things Season 2 spoilers come to us courtesy of GameSpot, who also sat down with the Duffer brothers to confirm that the new season will be “darker and weirder” than the season before it. According to the brothers, the new season will be set in 1984 — one year after Season 1 took place. The brothers also promise that there will be many cultural references to alert the viewer that they are, indeed, being transported back to the era of Reaganomics and hair metal. Matt Duffer also said that a lot of the second season will feel like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade to the casual viewer.
Finally, some more Stranger Things Season 2 spoilers come to us courtesy of GameNGuide, who confirm that Dr. Brenner has — unlike Barbara — definitely survived the Upside Down. And while Will’s disappearance isn’t triggering the same online response as Barb’s, the repercussions of his disappearance (and possible death) will definitely be explored in the new season. Also, while the new season of Stranger Things has yet to receive an official release date, Netflix’s Reed Hastings — who is the company’s chief executive — confirmed that the show will be getting a second season, saying that it was “dumb” not to provide a platform for a show that’s proved to be such a goldmine for Netflix. Finally, while the first season of Stranger Things took place over the course of about a week, there’s still no word as to whether the second season will follow this same formula in the next season.“Even though it was probably slammed at the time, obviously now people look back on [the movie] fondly, but it messed up a lot of kids, and I love that about that film, that it really traumatized some children. Not saying that we want to traumatize children, just that we want to get a little darker and weirder.”
