Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, played a big part in connecting Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo. In fact, if it weren’t for them, Jinger and Jeremy may have never met! Seeing how Duggars have been in the news because of Josh Duggar’s scandal, Jessa thought that it was time to get some happy news shared on her new show, Jill and Jessa: Counting On .
When Jinger and Jeremy got engaged , Jessa was the first one to say that her younger sister is her best friend, hinting that she and Jill have moved apart since she left the U.S. for Central America.
The Jill and Jessa star definitely used the engagement news to make sure that she keeps up her Instagram popularity. She is the more popular out of the two, having 1.8 million people, as opposed to Jill’s 1.5 million, follow her on Instagram.
And it’s possible that she used that general popularity to find a cool husband for her younger sister. It looks like she used Ben Seewald’s connection to track down the right man for Jinger.
“I was initially friends with Ben Seewald and Jessa (Duggar) Seewald, and it was through them that I got to meet Jinger,” Jeremy revealed on People Magazine .
Jinger and Jeremy then “had the opportunity to go on a missions trip together,” during which she really “saw his heart and really admired his character.”
Jessa Duggar has tried very hard to stay on top of Duggar family news update, making sure that her TLC watchers see her baby grow via Instagram. She also has been celebrating his monthly birthday.
But it has not been easy to keep herself in the spotlight. Other than Jinger getting engaged to Ben’s friend, her older sister Jill Duggar returned home with her husband, Derick Dillard, and their cute baby, Israel.
“We are so excited to share that we will be returning in August for a short stateside term that will extend into the fall,” Jill and Derick wrote on their family blog. “We are really looking forward to seeing our families after nearly 10 months on foreign soil.”
“Serving in Central America has been an amazing experience so far for both of us (and Israel!). We feel like we’ve made great advancements in just learning the culture and the language as well as building relationships with so many precious people […] We believe our labors until now will serve as a strong foundation for many years of wonderful ministry in the days to come.”
The older sister also has been giving her fans a regular update of her baby.
“It’s hard to believe that our little man is already 1 year old,” Jill and Derick wrote in their family blog. “Israel is getting so big and changing so quickly! We celebrated with some of our friends on Sunday and will have a piñata with the little children at church this evening.”
Now that she has a steady internet connection, she also has been hitching on the engagement of her younger sibling to get some attention for her social media accounts. She stalked the couple and took a picture of their intimate moment to share on Instagram.
She captioned the picture, “#goodbyes are so tough! I remember those days! Loved getting to hang out with these lovebirds yesterday#jeremyandjinger #longdistancerelationships www.jeremyvuolo.com .”
In the picture, it is very obvious that Jinger and Jeremy are engaged in the famous Duggar “side hug,” which is the only form of contact that is allowed during their courtship and engagement period. Only after getting married will they have a chance to be more intimate.
