Burgess also posted an image of the official Season 23 poster onto her Instagram. The Inquisitr has written several articles about all of the hype surrounding the Season 23 cast, including one on the latest rumor that Michael Phelps was asked to join the show. A source told Hollywood Life that the Olympic swimmer has been asked to sign on with the show before, but wasn't interested. His focus right now is Rio, where he just added four more Olympic gold medals to his collection of 16 other golds. There's still hope that he may change his mind about putting on a pair of dancing shoes by the time the Games are over.
Other possible contenders to make the Season 23 cast list include Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher, Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice, former Bachelor New Zealand star Jordan Mauger, and ESPN's The Coach co-host and former WWE broadcaster/star Jonathan Coachman. Dominic Bowden, who's hosting E!'s The Hype, has voiced the possibility of a comeback to DWTS for Season 23.
As the Olympics play out in Rio, pro dancer Mark Ballas is watching and mentioned one gymnast on his wishlist. This is fueling rumors that maybe one of the American gymnasts will be approached about appearing on DWTS.

Here's another scoop that Hollywood Life revealed from one of its sources -- producers are watching which athletes will appeal most to the public during the Olympics.
"The producers still are reaching out on who will be on the new season of the show but they are very interested in seeing who people latch onto at the Olympics and will offer them to be on the show," the site's insider says.
On another note, the source says fans can expect someone from The Bachelor franchise to be added on the roster.
"Plus someone of Bachelor fame will be on this season as well," the source continued. "Names should start materializing in a few weeks."
Could that mean JoJo or another favorite from the franchise? She's busy moving in with her fiance, Jordan Rodgers. Some other thoughts are that it could be Robby Hayes, Chad Johnson, or Kaitlyn Bristowe.
As for the regular cast of DWTS, co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, as well as judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli, are likely to resume their roles on the show. Those details have yet to be confirmed.
How many contestants will be announced for this season of Dancing with the Stars? There's typically anywhere from 14 to 17 celebrities each season on the show.
