Was Shawn Lucas Murdered? After Death Of Lawyer Who Served DNC With Election Fraud Lawsuit, Conspiracy Theories Abound

Shawn Lucas was found dead this week, prompting conspiracy theories that the process lawyer who recently served the Democratic National Committee with a class-action fraud lawsuit may have actually been murdered for his efforts.

Lucas was known from a YouTube video in which he and filmmaker Ricardo Villaba served the DNC Services Corp. and former DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz with a lawsuit filed on behalf of supporters of Bernie Sanders.

Many of the conspiracy theory sites, including Zero Hedge, tried to connect Lucas’ death to a larger plot being hatched from the very top of the Democratic Party. His death was tied with deaths of two other people with tangential connections to Hillary Clinton, young DNC staffer Seth Conrad Rich and anti-Clinton author Victor Thorn.

The 27-year-old Rich was killed in Washington, D.C., on July 8, shot to death in what police and family members said was a robbery gone wrong.

“There had been a struggle. His hands were bruised, his knees are bruised, his face is bruised, and yet he had two shots to his back, and yet they never took anything,” his mother, Mary Rich, told NBC News.

“They took his life for literally no reason. They didn’t finish robbing him, they just took his life,” she added. “They hurt the community, and they hurt the long-term possibility of what he could have done.”

But conspiracy theorists weren’t satisfied with the explanation that Seth Conrad Rich was murdered in a high-crime neighborhood at close to 4 a.m., deciding instead that he must have been killed to stop him from speaking out against election fraud.

A website called YourNewsWire even claimed that Rich was a “whistleblower” set to expose election fraud, though the site offered no evidence to back up the idea and the claim that he was blowing the whistle on fraud appears to be invented.

Within the story of Shawn Lucas’ death, the site Gateway Pundit also tried to draw a connection with Rich’s murder, citing unsubstantiated rumors spreading on social media.

“Shortly after the killing, Redditors and social media users were pursuing a ‘lead’ saying that Rich was en route to the FBI the morning of his murder, apparently intending to speak to special agents about an ‘ongoing court case’ possibly involving the Clinton family.”

Rich’s death was followed this week with the suicide of Victor Thorn, a prolific anti-Clinton author who was found dead on his 54th birthday. Though family members said Thorn died from a self-inflicted gunshot, others speculated that he was another victim of Hillary Clinton. The site AmericanFreePress.net claimed that Thorn’s suicide was yet another strange death connected to Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Thorn himself was a controversial character, often writing about the Holocaust as a “hoax.” But much of the more controversial history was hidden, and Thorn’s death appeared as a trending story on Facebook describing him as a “writer and Clinton researcher.”

Some disagreed with the assertion.

“Victor Thorn was a lunatic. He was an addled conspiracy theorist who accused the Clintons of murder, who believes 9/11 was a conspiracy theory,” Mark Potok, a senior fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center, told The Daily Dot. “The phrase ‘writer and Clinton researcher’ is unbelievably dishonest. Thorn was akin to being a Nazi and was certainly a Nazi apologist.”

But despite the lack of evidence connecting the three deaths together and lack of evidence connecting any of it to Hillary Clinton, the death of Shawn Lucas still set conspiracy theory blogs and social media aflutter with activity. Stories of Lucas’ death were shared thousands of times, with many accepting the explanation that he was killed by evil and unseen political forces.
