Main Cast Of ‘Another Oh Hae Young’ Reveal Their Thoughts Heading Into Series Finale Of K-Drama

So far this year, 2016 has been a very successful year for K-dramas. It started with the series Reply 1988 (also known as Answer Me 1988), the spiritual successors to both Reply 1997 and Reply 1994(also known as Answer Me 1997 and Answer Me 1994, respectively), concluding with over ten percent viewership ratings for both major Korean viewership ratings companies. Eventually, they were followed-up by other K-dramas that earned high viewership ratings for their respective channels such as Marriage Contract and Ms. Temper and Nam Jung Gi. However, the most-popular K-dramas so far are Descendants of the Sun and Doctors, in which both have at least earned over 30 percent viewership at least once.

Right now, there are two K-dramas that are garnering the high viewership ratings. The first is Doctors, which just started airing. The other is Another Oh Hae Young, and it is about to conclude today. With that in mind, the main cast of the popular K-drama were asked to reveal their thoughts heading into the finale.

According to an article by AllKpop, the three main actors for the popular K-drama — Eric (of Shinhwa), Seo Hyun Jin, and Jeon Hye Bin — revealed their thoughts heading into the finale of Another Oh Hae Young (also known as Oh Hae Young Again). Hyun Jin played the “normal” Oh Hae Young. She works at a restaurant placing emphasis on traditional Korean food specifically rice. Eventually, she runs into Park Doo Kyung, played by Eric, a sound director for movies. After that first meeting, the two keep running into each other and even by happenstance end up becoming next-door neighbors. Their personalities clash which, of course, sets up their relationship.

Pertaining to Another Oh Hae Young ending, Eric places more emphasis on the fans stating it was their support that helped them continue on with the K-drama to the very end.

“Thank you so much for your love all this time. Because [the viewers] laughed and cried with us actors and cheered us on, we were able to persevere without growing weary. The director, the writers, the staff, and the actors all worked very hard in their own places, without anyone settling for just good enough. Please watch over all of us with love, as we all separate into different places.”

Both Seo Hyun Jin and Jeon Hye Bin, the two actresses who played the “normal” and “pretty” Oh Hae Youngs respectively, expressed thoughts that were bittersweet as they both are happy and sad the K-drama is ending.

Seo Hyun Jin (“Normal” Oh Hae Young): “It’s already the finale date. My mood has been up and down lately. At our last filming, I memorized what the set looked like with my eyes. We were able to achieve this thanks to our Avengers staff, including the brilliant script, our brilliant director, and our brilliant camera directors. I was very happy.”

Jeon Hye Bin (“Pretty” Oh Hae Young): “I think I’ll be relieved and sad at the same time, once the drama ends. Just being a part of such a fun drama has been an honor and I’m very thankful.”

We K-drama fans thank Eric, Seo Hyun Jin, and Jeon Hye Bin for their hard work and dedication to bringing the characters of Another Oh Hae Young, a phenomenal series, to life. The finale of Another Oh Hae Young will air on Tuesday, June 28 (Today!), at 11 p.m. KST on tvN, in which Let’s Fight Ghost will take its time slot afterwards.
