Prince Harry Receives Marriage Proposal, But Will He Return The Unexpected Love Confession?

It seems royal watchers are all about Prince Harry meeting the woman of his dreams and settling down. Essentially, there are high hopes for the Prince to follow in his big brother’s footsteps and to find his own Kate Middleton. However, Harry has made his hesitations about this pressure known and stated that he has a “paranoia” over tabloids drumming up a story about him starting a new romance every time he is spotted chatting with a young woman.

Most recently, Ellie Goulding was said to be his new love interest, which has been shut down as false, much like the rumors about he and Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton. It seems a much younger lady has beat these women to confess their love for Harry, seeing as he has received the most unexpected marriage proposal from someone quite a bit his junior.

While His Royal Highness was enjoying an event by the Rugby Football Union, which he was in attendance of due to the event’s drawing of attention to the “role of sports in overcoming social challenges.” Harry socialized with all in attendance at the gathering, which is when he met the young girl who stepped up as competition to Pippa and Ellie. Six-year-old Lottie was not shy about telling the Prince that she would like to marry him.

Of course, Lottie’s reasoning for wanting to marry Harry all had to do with her dream of becoming a real princess. Harry responded sweetly to the little one while maintaining a matter-of-fact approach to letting her down with an explanation, as Brides.com shares.

“Fortunately for the rest of us, he did turn her down, but it was not without an explanation — something every girl wants to hear when rejected, obviously. ‘You don’t want that — there’s too big an age gap. You’ve been reading a lot of books.’ “

Harry then moved along to chat with other attendees at the event and came across another young lady he shared similarities with. Mattie and he both have lovely red hair. The Prince complimented the youngster, asked her how she was enjoying the event, and then carried on.

“You’re nice, very pretty. Are you having fun?”

Harry attended the event for the purpose of interacting with children. The event was hosted by RFU and StreetGames for the purpose of helping British children from low-income households become more involved with sports and activities.

Jane Ashworth, the chief executive of the initiative, spoke highly of Prince Harry for his involvement in the the gathering.

“It’s fantastic that Prince Harry has such a commitment to helping young people through sport. I think it’s really clear from looking at the kids that they feel validated, that what they’re doing is important. Harry coming here reinforces that commitment.”

Soccer star Andrew Henderson, had only great things to say about Prince Harry, while in attendance at the event for a wonderful cause. E! Online relays the words of the freestyle soccer player.

“The fact he can come here and interact with the kids and have fun—it’s so great to see the smile on the kids’ faces,” Henderson tells the magazine. “Unfortunately, the rugged royal couldn’t participate in any of the games, as he’s suffering from some minor maladies. He said he’s got a little bit of a bad back,” Henderson adds. “But I know he’s got some skills. He said, ‘Well done,’ and was really impressed. He said he knew it was possible with a [soccer ball], but he didn’t know it was possible with a rugby ball.”

Although Harry hasn’t found love yet, it’s clear that he’s got a lot to offer his future bride when the day arrives.
