Britney Spears ‘Kicking A** Right Now,’ According To Younger Sister Jamie Lynne, Spears Sisters Soaring

Just like fans of pop princess Britney Spears, Jamie Lynne Spears is in awe of her sister’s drive and incredible comeback. The 25-year-old country singer-songwriter weighed in on her 34-year-old superstar sister’s rise back to the top.

Jamie Lynne spoke with People about her sister’s recent success and stated that fans and haters alike should take note.

“My sister is in a bada** place right now,” the country singer-songwriter, 25, said of her pop counterpart, 34.

“I think we need to focus on what an amazing place everyone is in, especially her,” Jamie Lynn added. “She’s kicking a** right now!”

It’s clear that Britney has regained her status as a praise-worthy live performer, definitely in part due to her renewed “Piece of Me” residency in Las Vegas. Britney was sure to wow the crowd and millions of viewers during the Billboard Music Awards in May, as well. Rightly so, Spears also walked away that night with the Icon Award after performing a medley of fantastic hits at the show.

Brit is in her third year as a resident at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, and it’s been stated that the gig will likely be maintained for at least two more years.

It’s clear just by following Spears on social media, taking in her performances, and viewing interviews she gives to the media that the star is in a much better place and has found strength in her independence. Previous to this point in her life, Spears jumped from relationship to relationship, and although still talented, she had some lows in her music career. After deciding to fly solo and to focus on motherhood and career, Brit has found her stride and has shared that this is the case in recent interviews, People shares.

“I’m in a real good place. I’m very blessed.”

Interestingly enough, Jamie Lynn is crushing it in her career as well. She has recently scored a No. 5 hit on a song she wrote for Jana Kramer called “I Got the Boy,” and she played new music at Grand Ole Opry this past March. Her new single, “Sleepover,” is set for release today. The younger of the Spears sisters will also be seen in a documentary of her life, Jamie Lynne Spears: When the Lights Go Out, which will air on TLC on June 26.

Both Spears sisters experienced difficult times in their lives, and it seems that their close bond even affects their high and low points. This is because Brit, along with Jamie Lynne, had great difficulty back in 2008. Jamie Lynne faced controversy and ridicule when she gave birth at the age of 16 to her daughter, Maddie, while Britney experienced a breakdown that resulted in a court-approved conservatorship.

Jamie Lynne Spears, however, shares that their struggles have made them stronger and closer than ever.

“We are really honest. If my family is going through something, we don’t try to pretend we’re perfect because we’re not. To the public, that can look like we’re falling apart. But to us, it’s just going through life. What you learn is: no one defines you. As long as you’re honest and hold yourself accountable, I don’t believe that the outside defines you. I choose to embrace the good.”

The 25-year-old adds that their struggles have made them into more resilient women, and that is certainly evident. Britney shared earlier this year that she has sought additional support from not only her family but from a life coach, as Music News shares, who is partially to thank for her new attitude towards life and her recent comeback.
