Bristol Palin shocked the world earlier this month when she made the unexpected announcement that she married her daughter’s daddy, Dakota Meyer, in what appeared to be a very non-public ceremony. To go along with that, the 25-year-old former reality star is ready to continue with her privacy to protect her kids as she is apparently seeing some scary people lately.

Palin took to her Instagram account on Sunday to first gush over her new husband. In a sweet message to Meyer for Father’s Day, Bristol let him know just how much she appreciated him putting their family first. She also sent a photo of the two of them along with Tripp and Sailor. However, with that came another message that may indicate why only Bristol and Dakota’s faces are shown clearly in the posted snapshot.

“As much as I want to show off my kids, there’s been too many creeps recently, so I’m trying to keep them safe by not posting pictures of them. So hard but their safety is our no. 1 priority!!).”

Baby Sailor’s face is a little fuzzy, while Tripp’s face is completely cut out of the picture. Only the top of his head is seen in the photo. Of course, everyone already knows what these kids look like. The mom-of-two is known for posting many photos of them on social media, but that is apparently going to stop.

It isn’t quite clear as to why Bristol Palin wasn’t so worried about the safety of her children when she was alone and single, but maybe Meyer has opened her eyes to the potential of bad things happening, especially as controversial as the Palin daughter is. With everything that is happening lately, the couple may have just decided to keep their lives private now that they are back together and married.

It has been a very twisted road for this couple. Bristol Palin announced that she was engaged to the former U.S. Marine and U.S. Medal of Honor recipient in March of 2015. They were to walk down the aisle two months later in May. However, the wedding was called off just five days before the ceremony was to take place. No reason was given, but everyone certainly had their own speculations.

Bristol then admitted in June that she was expecting her ex-fiancé’s baby. That really got people in an uproar over her having two children with two different daddies. She seemed to know exactly what people would say about her, but Palin was certainly not shy about posting plenty of growing baby bump photos, as well as pics of her in the hospital after delivering her daughter.

Little Sailor Grace is now almost six months old and is being raised by both her mom and dad in the same household. The couple sure did a turnaround as they went from battling over custody rights to walking down the aisle. It looks like both Palin and Meyer are in wedded bliss, as was announced originally by ET. They are now settling down to their new life as a newly-married couple raising two kids together. Dakota also gushed about his wife in his own recent post.

While Palin has always been in the public eye, she has also brought her kids, especially 7-year-old Tripp, into the spotlight since they were born. Her former reality show called Life’s a Tripp displayed her son for the world to see as she was seen trying to raise him as a single mother with a little help from the Palin family. Since then, Bristol has enjoyed sending out photos of her firstborn and later of baby Sailor.
