Britney Spears: I Am No Kim Kardashian

Britney Spears is returning to the television this week as The X Factor starts a new season on Wednesday night. You can also read a whole lot more about the formerly troubled mega-star in the October edition of Elle Magazine. Britney is the cover girl of the mag, where she appears wearing a leather studded Versace dress. In an inside shot, she sports a Jason Wu blue leather jacket, satin bra and crystal bloomers and in the article’s final shot, featuring her fiance Jason Trawick, she wears suede boot shoes by Kanye West with a black Just Cavalli gown.

Britney makes it clear in the article though that you will probably not run into her wearing those kind of duds. She is more likely to be found in sweats with her hair up in a bun.

Britney told the magazine:

“I love my jeans and my sweats — I’m really just a tomboy at heart. So it’s really hard for me to be like Kim Kardashian and be makeup- and hair-ready every time I go out of my house. I’m not a believer in that, you know? On the other hand, when you do wear those sweats, you’re like, ‘Oh God, I should step it up a notch.’ “

Britney goes further and addresses the paparazzi scrutiny she has faced since she was a kid. She says now it doesn’t bother her at all.

Britney says:

“I guess I’ve been under the microscope so long that I don’t even pay attention to the nonsense anymore. I gave up getting upset about things people make up about me a long time ago.”

In the interview Britney’s fiance Jason Trawick said that it was Britney who made the first move in the relationship.

Trawick said:

“It was kind of one of those things where she moved, like, turned around, so we were face-to-face, and then –“

Britney jumped in at that point saying:

“Okay, that’s enough information, sweetie. It was sweet, just say that.”

BTW, Simon Cowell IS really pissed off that the show is airing at the same time as The Voice!
