Ciara And Future: Rapper Drops Lawsuit Against Singer

Future was planning on suing Ciara but has now had a change of heart, according to TMZ. This was Future countersuing Ciara after she filed a lawsuit against him earlier this year, for calling her a bad mother on social media, which was really Future basically being childish and pathetic.

Future, whose real name is Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, has been granted joint custody of their son, Future Zahir Wilburn, and so now it seems as if the rapper isn’t interested in pursuing any kind of lawsuit against his former fiancée; Future’s lawsuit against Ciara has been dropped. He’s happy to have joint custody of his son and apparently doesn’t want to mess that up by going after Ciara in court. By not pursuing any legal action, sources claim Future hopes Ciara won’t try and gain sole custody.

Ciara, however, plans on following through with her $15 million lawsuit, accusing the 32-year-old rapper of libel and slander. Not only was Future disrespecting Ciara as a mother as well as disrespecting her music career, but he also brought up her relationship with NFL player Russell Wilson. Future was upset that Wilson was involved in his child’s life, after seeing a photo of Wilson pushing baby Future in a stroller. Because, you know, that is just so highly disrespectful and unforgivable. The nerve of this man pushing the child of his girlfriend in a stroller.

While on The Breakfast Club, he told Charlamagne that God knows just how unhappy he was with the whole situation. “She probably set him up,” he said.

“At the end of the day, I’m not for the publicity stunts. Leave my son out of the publicity stunts. Just leave him out of your relationship.”

Cool, so apparently, Future would just rather Russell ignore Ciara’s son and refuse to be around him. That makes total sense, and it doesn’t reflect on Future’s insecurities as a man at all. After flipping through his tweets earlier this year, it’s impossible to imagine why Ciara would ever decide to take Future, such a confident, respectable adult, to court.

“This b***h got control problems… I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future… the f***ery for 15k a month.”

Though they were just dating at the time, Ciara and Russell Wilson are now engaged. She first began dating the Seattle Seahawks quarterback in early 2015, and they remained celibate while getting to know each other better. The couple announced their engagement on March 11, 2016.

Future and Ciara’s relationship seemed to be doing pretty well just a few years ago.

“He is really a gentleman and I don’t want to say too much, and then he’s like, ‘Babe, you’re saying a whole lot,’ but he really is just an amazing man,” Ciara said in April of 2013. “It’s like when we were working on the personal side of things, I really saw an amazing person and the way that he approached me since day one is just the way a man is supposed to be from my perspective.”

But people change. It seems like their relationship began to take a turn for the worse after their son was born. Rumors began circulating that Future cheated on Ciara, and the couple was not publicly speaking on the matter, until Future took to his Instagram account saying “I Dnt respond to rumors I respond to money.”

Apparently, Ciara caught him in the act only a few months after baby Future was born. Sources close to the couple pretty much confirmed that Ciara and Future were done, all thanks to Future not being able to keep his hands off other women.
