Alexa PenaVega Is Pregnant, She And Husband Carlos Are Expecting First Baby
There will be the pitter-patter of little baby feet running around soon in the home of a former Dancing with the Stars couple. Alexa PenaVega and husband Carlos are expecting their first child together and they couldn’t be happier.
The announcement came via social media as both Alexa and Carlos posted the exciting news individually on Thursday with a couple of cute photos. The mom-to-be took to her Twitter account to let the world in on the fact that she was indeed pregnant. Holding a pregnancy test in her hand with her husband kissing her cheek, she looked radiant and extremely happy as she wrote the official announcement.
“PREGNANT! It’s #ClearblueConfirmed a lil blessing is joining the PenaVega fam! #ItsHappening #ClearbluePartner.”
Not to be outdone by his 27-year-old wife, Carlos also shared the happy news on his Instagram with another sweet photo of the two of them. His snapshot shows just how excited they really are with that positive pregnancy test.
“Breaking news! It’s #ClearblueConfirmed! There is going to be a new cool kid in town… And by cool I mean dorky just like their father. A little PenaVega is on the way!!! #ItsHappening #HolyWow #Imgoingtobeadaddy.”
The baby news wasn’t really so surprising as Carlos PenaVega had mentioned in an interview in January that he and Alexa were actually trying to start a family According to E! News, the couple had apparently been trying to conceive a child for a few months now. Carlos mentioned that it was actually harder than he expected it to be. While it didn’t happen right away, they are now expectant parents and have an exciting future ahead of them.
One thing that the 26-year-old Big Time Rush singer mentioned in the interview with ET a few months ago was all of the things that he intended to teach their future child.
“Believe me, I’m going to teach it to sing, dance, do things. Hopefully it doesn’t fart, because I have that talent. I’m just going to put it out there, because that’s what Alexa says I can’t teach the baby. Not that there is a baby or anything.”
Carlos and Alexa, who have been married since 2014, both love to share their lives and their faith with fans. You can certainly expect them both to post many photos of her growing baby bump in the coming months. It looks like they are currently on vacation doing some sailing together and taking in some sun before they are busy with a new bundle of joy.
America got to know Carlos and Alexa last year when they both appeared on Dancing with the Stars. This was the first time that a married couple went on together to compete for the mirror ball trophy. He came in fourth place with his pro partner Whitney Carson. His wife and her partner, Mark Ballas, was surprisingly voted off earlier.
The Spy Kids actress even shared on the show that she had suffered from bulimia for six years. She opened up about her struggles and her insecurities that came with not liking how she looked and felt. She is now healthy and very happy with her life.
Since their time on Dancing with the Stars, Carlos had been cast as Kenicke in the live version of Grease on Fox earlier this year. Alexa had a starring role just recently in Hallmark’s Ms. Matched. Now they can add parenthood to their list of accomplishments very soon.
